We're looking forward to a great season with our Rhinestones, Crystals, Diamonds, Dance Company and Ensemble! Founded on the philosophy that dance is for everyone: it builds strong, flexible, disciplined bodies and minds and in so doing, enhances the total person: the creative, the physical, the mental and the social.
Miss Buffa created the studio in the Fall of 1980 as a place to share her background of arts education through her love of teaching dance. If you have created your Parent Portal with our new Jackrabbit software, you should see your student(s)'s class recommendations as a log-in message (if you are attending/attended this summer and do not see any recommendations, please be patient as we wait to hear back from your summer teachers)!

Glad we found a more solid studio elsewhere. there's no rhyme or reason when they place dancers in a particular dance class, the differentiation of levels makes no sense. even if your kid dances for years, they'll admit a student with little to no experience into the same class. communication with studio unfriendly and unprofessional.

I danced at Buffa’s basically all my life and I had wonderful experiences there. This studio provided an amazing environment to grow and learn as well as have fun. I met some of my closest friends there and continue to have amazing relationships with all of the teachers. They are very good at providing as many opportunities for their dancers to grow and showcase what they’ve learned and encourage everyone to do their best. I have continued to stay connected to the studio after graduation by participating in their alumni dance and teaching classes because of my love for this studio and everyone

I spent nearly 15 years dancing at Buffa's Dance Studio, and highly recommend it! I took classes in many styles which were taught by wonderful teachers, and my love of dance that was fostered by the staff at Buffa's led me to continue dancing in college.
Buffa's is wonderful, because they offer such a large variety of classes, programs, and experiences- I was a member of competition teams for the majority of my time at Buffa's, and absolutely loved it! I also have friends who only took a couple of classes, and they loved that experience!

Buffa's is the best place for dance instruction that you can find. I started at this studio when I was 5 and danced all the way through high school until I graduated. You will not find more professional and caring instructors anywhere else! I have formed close relationships with my teachers and I look forward to continuing these even past my years of dancing here. A highlight of my dance career here include the non-profit Burke Civic Ballet's production of "The Nutcracker", a highly-professional show including guest artists from the Colorado Ballet. My favorite aspect about Buffa's was that I could

I danced at Buffa’s for 13 years and as an alumni still think as the studio as a second home. All of the teachers truly care about your improvement as a dancer and continuously inspire the students. The studio acts as a family where all the students, teachers and staff are supportive and encouring to one another. I cherish all the wonderful memories that I made at Buffa’s and for shaping me as the individual I am today. Also, I wouldn’t have met my lifelong friends if I hadn’t attended Buffa’s and I am forever grateful for that. Overall, the studio is a great place for any individual

Buffa's gave me more than i could have ever imagined as a young dancer. Still, at 22 years old, I come back to visit my teachers and the other dancers there. Buffa's nurtured my love for dance and provided me with so many opportunities over the years. I was never the most graceful or the best dancer on stage, but I went on to be in the Contemporary Dance Ensemble at Virginia Tech, all thanks to Buffa's.

I am so lucky to be able to say that I spent nearly 15 years dancing at Buffa's Dance Studio. When I was in elementary school, dance was by far my favorite after school activity, largely thanks to the wonderful faculty at Buffa's! In middle school and high school, Buffa's was my second home, and I cherished my time in dance class. One of my favorite experiences each year was performing in the recitals. The recitals at Buffa's are of a professional quality, and are such a fulfilling experience. Beyond the recitals, I also loved performing in the Nutcracker each Winter, attending

I have nothing but good things to say about Buffa's. I started here when I was 12 years old and was only taking a few classes to improve my competitive ice skating at the time. But after spending a year there I fell so in love I decided to quit skating and switch to the full time Dance Company Competition team and I couldn't be more grateful that I did so. During my 6 years at Buffa's, I competed on both the dance company and ensemble teams, took a multitude of technique and stylistic classes, and worked as an assistant teacher to the children's classes (which are amazing!)

I danced at Buffa's for 15 years and I loved every minute of it. They have encouraged me to be not only a technically profiecent dancer, but the Buffa's staff also checked up on my emotional and physical well-being all my years. Even after I graduated, I was invited back to the studio and given an incredibly warm welcome. They really care about their kids!! I am now in the modern dance company at William & Mary, and I believe I can credit Buffa's with my ability to make the company and my ability to act appropriately in professional environments. I would not have been prepared without them. They

I danced at Buffas for 15 years (ages 3-18) and could not have found a better place to call my second home growing up. I met some of my best friends that I am still very close with and met some of the best teachers as well that made such a positive impact on my life. I recommend dancing at Buffas to any young girl I meet who is interested in dancing because I truly do not know where I would be without Buffa's.

I have been part of this studio since 1983 when I started at the age of three. I spent my whole childhood here, it has shaped and molded me into the disciplined, creative, motivated, poised woman I am today. I started my daughter here five years ago to benefit from all of those things in a loving and encouraging environment. I am so thankful that Buffa's Dance Studio is still going strong teaching young girls and boys alike the incredible art of dance.

Positives: There are some good jazz dance teachers and nice facilities at this location.
Negatives: 1. This studio only focuses on their competitive dance teams. To be more specific, they focus on a few dancers and the rest of the team ends up as backup dancers. This favoritism spills over to their normal classes and the dance team 'faves' are front and center while those not on the dance teams are hidden in the back row -- and often not even on the stage for long periods of time during the dance recitals.
2. Beware of dance moms. Additional time and attention is provided to

We wish we never had to move away from this studio! Our two daughters loved learning here and their dance performance at the end of the year was wonderful each year. You can tell how hard the teachers worked with the kids when you see the girls on stage doing their dances without looking for cues from teachers off stage, like you see at so many other places. When we needed to change a class, the ladies at the front desk and the teachers made it work for us. The other parents are welcoming and great to be around. Classes each month are very reasonable for the young ones but you do pay extra for

If you are looking to be a part of an elite dance team, this is the studio for you! If your child wants to take a few classes and enhance his/her dance skills, I suggest looking elsewhere. My daughter was with this studio for 3 years, taking 2 classes plus a part of Rhinestones or Crystals (the young competition groups) all 3 years. Each year, the studio found new ways to increase their revenue. The first year that we were there, part of the recital fee was a few tickets to the recitals. The next year, they reduced the recital fee by $25 and charged $20 per ticket ($15 for the Concert.) This
