Flour & Fern
Website
If you're willing to be a recipe tester for my new cookbook, THANK YOU! Please visit this LINK to take a quick survey so I can send you the best recipe(s) to fit your needs and preferences (as best I can). Recipes will be sent out in July. Grain limited, taste unlimited. Producing unnoticeably gluten free products for the local community (and hopefully beyond that soon!).

Flour & Fern started long ago as a little girl's dream to own a bakery. That dream began to take shape as a home bakery serving local Farmer's Markets in 2019. Then it turned into a lovely little bakery inside Mac Mkt in 2020 (right before the pandemic hit). Thanks to all the great customers that dream became a reality!
Services
Not all are available daily, but this should give a good idea of offerings and can act as a source for allergen information. I will try to get back to you as soon as I can to see if we can accommodate your request. Curious how to store your products? CAKES / CUPCAKES can be made by special order. They are often not available at the store, so please contact me at least a week in advance with your order.
1 Cookie baking directions are HERE. 2 Cinnamon Roll baking directions are HERE. 3 Thaw pizza dough by placing it in the fridge overnight. Then follow THESE instructions for making delicious pizza. 4 I put sliced breads in the freezer and pull out slices as I need them, even going directly into a toaster oven from the freezer.
Take your dough out of the fridge and turn it onto a baking sheet or into a 10 cast iron skillet. 2. Using oiled fingers, pat the dough into a round, about 10-12 in diameter. 3. Allow to rise 1 hr (you can cover it, but are not required to). 4. During the rise, preheat your oven to 400 degrees. 5. Bake for about 15 minutes (if you have an instant read thermometer, the inside should read 210 degrees).
I did a lot of trialing for how to make these cinnamon rolls, and not one of them turned out bad. SO don't worry, you're going to do great and your cinnamon rolls are going to taste delicious. Your experience will vary depending on the temperature in your house and how your oven works. The two hour rise time should work no matter what.
Naturally gluten free and nut free. This recipe can easily be made dairy free as well! Just use vegan butter instead of regular butter and choose a non-dairy milk to replace the cream. Can be corn free as well! Just pick up a corn free baking powder. I use Bob's Red Mill 1-1 flour, (not their baking flour).

Pretty great food (poke bowl ftw) and delicious roasted coffee! Can get a little crowded if seated near the door (with people waiting for takeaway orders), but a part from that it’s an awesome cafe!

The baos were great but the poke bowl, not so much sorry! I had poke bowls several times before but this one doesn't really hit the spot :( Moreover, I'm very concerned with the way they don't check people's vaccination status and as well as making sure people check in using QR code. I'm sorry to say this but since I work at the hospital, I'm very disappointed to see this. It's been very hard for us as staff working there. There have been many staff members having to go home because of their close contacts being positive, putting a lot of pressure on all of us to do our work and protect our patients

After being basically ignored for the entire time we were there and served cutlery with dried egg still on it, we were asked to leave even though we hadn't finished our coffee because the people who wanted the table next to us didn't like dogs. We were told that they had reservations and thats why we had to leave. We had also made our reservation for 12.30 and were asked to leave at 12.50. The table next to us was seated at the same time and they were allowed to finish their meal and coffees. Our dog was asleep under our chair and everyone was complimenting her on her good behaviour.

Cute little cafe located in Berwick, great for brunch dates with friends or partner. the interior was really simple and minimal.
we chose to come to this cafe because of their menu which had a lot more variety than many other cafes in this area. we ordered the flour & fern brekky and the breakfast bruschetta, our food was plated beautifully 🤗 we found the food tasted pretty decent for cafe food.

I’ve always seen F&F posted on IG by friends and family and never been. Finally tried it out and must say I was not disappointed! It did take a while to get a table so prebooking on a weekend would seem essential but the wait for the food was worth it. The nori paper was confusing and it felt like eating dried seaweed was an unnecessary extra for this bad boi of a meal but was not let down.

Good ambiance and great location. The food was good. The big breakfast had everything that should be present for a breakfast meal, however did not match up to the taste. The other dish which was the potato croquette with smash avo and eggs, that was really good.

One of the best smoothie bowls I’ve ever had and honestly, worth the hour long travel 🤣
FOOD: I ordered the Peanut Butter Smoothie Bowl and after lusting for it and having no time to travel for an hour, I finally had the time - I made it a MISSION to come try Flour and Fern’s coveted smoothie bowl and it was so worth it 🤤 My favourite part of the entire smoothie bowl definitely had to be the magnum, I think mine was a mint chocolate chip one? And honestly, move over box Magnum’s because Flour and Fern has NAILED IT! It was $20 but it was such a big portion that it’s definitely worth
