As McMinnville's first independent artisan bakery in the heart of downtown, we feature true handcrafted breads and pastries. Our flour comes only from Washington and Oregon, our berries are picked at Draper Farms, Stephens Farm, and Munoz Farms, our butter is made a mile away at Farmer's Cooperative Creamery.
We use vegetables and greens from Oakhill Organics in Grand Island, and peaches and nectarines from Baird Family Orchards. We grow most of our own herbs, and make many of our jams in house. With these local and fresh ingredients, we proudly offer our satisfying sandwiches, fresh salads, holiday and daily breads, pastries and coconut macaroons.

Chrissy has been in the industry since 1987. Starting in Southern California as a server she quickly worked her way up the restaurant profession. When Moving to Oregon the Marriott Corporation quickly grabbed her where she learned the art of fine dining and catering. After that she moved to the Yamhill Wine country and almost immediately saw the potential in the regions rich valley and culture.
We make traditional European hearth style breads with the most basic ingredients- unbleached flour from Northwest farmers, water, sea salt, and a pinch of yeast, or some sourdough starters. And we don't use dough dividers or baguette rollers to speed up our process - we just use our clean hands to create every loaf you eat.
Contact us for custom baking classes. Topics may include Danish and croissant breakfast pastries, tarts, pies and holiday breads. Bring us your idea - we'll make it happen. Our pastry selection changes daily but most of the following are baked fresh each morning. There are always others to choose from!

The cream cheese bagel was fresh but too salty. I'm not sure it was the cream cheese or the bagel. If you have a weak immune system, stay away as absolutely NO employees were wearing masks & had that defiant "I don't care" smirk on their face. Their response to why they don't wear masks is, "our employees decided masks don't work". Unbelievable! . Having 2 relatives end up in the hospital because of COVID & a close friend with a compromised immune system, I'm disgusted by businesses that not only flaunt the law, but have a total disregard for

Saturday morning pit stop on the way to the beach...worth the detour! The breads looked fantastic and fresh. Baked case was filled with sweet and savory choices. You could smell the butter from all the flaky pastry! Had the coffee cake and peaches and cream tart. Would recommend both. The cake was pleasantly moist and the tart had a rich flavor.

I liked the coffee and the atmosphere of the place. The artisan bread is really good. I've read the other I reviews and the employees are not wearing masks and I don't know if they are vaccinated. I do wish that those upfront with customer contact would follow the guidelines since they do come closer than six feet to others. Customers coming in and out are wearing masks and customers inside seat six apart.

I’ve gone in twice over the last month and immediately walked out. They are not only not enforcing the masking mandate, but the staff is not wearing masks/shields. If they can’t be good citizens and do the small things to help with the pandemic, they will not get my business. If they decide that mandate is not important enough to enforce, who knows if they follow food safety rules they do not agree with.

There was no sign on the door about masks, and staff weren't wearing them. My chocolate croissant was mediocre and not flakey and buttery like croissants I enjoy. Maybe it was just a different style. The coffee cake was ok. They did not offer to heat up our pastries, which we ate there, and they served them cold. They also only had almond and soy milk as milk alternatives. Addendum, in response to the owner's comment below: neither myself nor the other member of my party notice face shields on any staff members. We were also specifically looking for a sign as we entered, but did not see it. Perhaps

We have gone to Red Fox for years. I love their baked goods and sandwiches. We have made a practice of picking up products at the Farmer's Market during the summer.
Unfortunately, yesterday we stopped in to buy bread and rolls. I was putting my mask on (REQUIRED IN OREGON), and a woman working there said "Oh you don't need to use that here." Then, at the counter I began ordering and noticed that no one working there had on a mask. I asked why--and asked if they were all vaccinated. The cashier literally sneared as she declared that they don't wear masks and aren't

If you're in McMinnville you should absolutely try Red Fox! The food is delicious and the service is EXCEPTIONAL.
We came on a weekday morning and there was a small crowd but the orders still get filled quickly. I had The Scramble and cold brew. Both were delicious. The scramble is made with little potatoes and they were cooked perfectly. The combination of ingredients and the fresh greens on top made it a perfect combination. The bread was multigrain, soft (even toasted) and tasted great too! Our server was super friendly, and attentive. She made sure to check regularly on us and made

Great service and tasty artisan bread! 😀 These folks were willing to go the extra mile and look up recipes online to try their hand making a special Greek Tsoureki loaf which has significance in celebrating Greek Orthodox Easter this coming weekend. Thank you guys 😊
See pics of fabulous Tsoureki Bread and how it is traditionally served. Great Job Red Fox! 👏 Thanks again. 😁

Cute place. Friendly staff. Nice selection of breads, baked goods, breakfast fare and lunch sandwiches. I ordered the egg salad sandwich on multi grain. It comes with a coconut macaroon. Also got a cup of the split pea soup with pancetta, which comes with a slice of multi grain bread. The bread was fantastic! The egg salad had large pieces of hard boiled egg and wasn't fully incorporated into the mustard/mayo dressing. Would have preferred it be diced up more and better incorporated. Otherwise delicious, with fresh crisp romaine. The real disappointment was the soup. Not sure where

I absolutely love walking early in the morning and finding Red Fox open & ready to serve! Great small town atmosphere, seating inside with a couple tables out (great during Covid) and my dogs were happy when I brought them home fresh baked dog biscuits made from this bakery's fresh sourdough. Their ability to create my custom iced americano, serve up Oatmeal "fit for a king" with plenty of add ins set around the plate and have me leaving with a cupcake for the flight back home has me coming back to this cute establishment each & every trip!

I adored the asthetic and atmosphere. If you are looking for a place to get breakfast or lunch in the area, I recommend this nook. The French dip was gourmet, the coffee was fresh and tasty, and the staff was very friendly. The pastry was tasty too but I think I just came at a bad time as the pastries seemed a bit dry. The lighting was also a bit dim. But otherwise, I was very happy to have found this place!
