Shorecrest is surrounded by the waters of the Long Island Sound and an inlet of Shelter Bay. Built originally as a summer home for a wealthy New Jersey Doctor, our Long Island bed and breakfast retains the original beach rights with private beaches and moorings to both the Long Island Sound and the Bay; the former perfect for swimming, snorkeling and walking and the latter for fishing, sailing and water sports.
Five guest rooms, each with private baths, feature central air conditioning, flat screen TVs, premium cable, hi-speed wireless internet, and the finest linens and mattresses to ensure the comfort and enjoyment of our guests. Each morning our inn guests are treated to a wonderful gourmet breakfast in the inn's dining room.

Services
Shorecrest Bed and Breakfast, a "Four Square" Victorian mansion that now serves as a premier North Fork Long Island inn, sits proudly on a beautifully landscaped acre, atop a crest of land overlooking the Long Island Sound to the North and the "Ashamamoque Pond", an inlet of Shelter Bay to the South.
Breakfast, an event to be savored and enjoyed at Shorecrest Bed and Breakfast, is served in the formal 1860's dining room on vintage china illuminated by our period chandelier and candlelight. Before breakfast we set out fresh ground coffee and a variety of teas, chocolate and cider with fresh baked muffins or quick breads in the living room.
Our Long Island bed and breakfast inn is perched on a beautifully landscaped acre of perennial flower gardens with hammock, fish ponds and lounge chairs to relax in. Our two private North Fork Long Island beaches, one on the Long Island Sound and the other on the inlet, are available to guests. For fans of paddle sports, our beach on the largest inlet on the North Fork, the Arshamomoque, is a great spot to launch kayaks, canoes or paddle boards.
What started as a small hobby of mine, collecting heart shaped rocks from all over the north fork has really turned into a tradition at the B&B. In honor of all our wonderful guests who have stayed and contributed to the collection, I will be posting reviews and photos of the heart rock reviews & testimonials to Facebook and on our blog!
There is an additional housekeeping/turnover fee for the first day of any rental of less than one week. Additional housekeeping and laundry services are available at our Long Island lodging if required. Shorecrest can be made available for your special occasion such as dinner parties; garden parties; pre-event preparation; rehearsal dinners; photographic sessions and almost any occasion that requires a special venue in beautiful surroundings.
