Allen Mitchell holds an Electrical Engineering degree from The Citadel and is a registered EIT in the State of South Carolina. Allen is a BPI Certified Professional, EPA Certified, NATE Certified, and double board certified (NATE and IGSHPA) for Geothermal Heat Pump installations. He is also a member of ASHRAE, ACCA, and IEEE.
During his career outside Mitchell Heating & Cooling, Allen designed Large Power Transformers for Electric Power Utilities up to, and including 345,000 Volts and 300 MVA. Most recently, Allen was the Director of North American Marketing Operations for ABB's Large Power Transformer business before returning to the area to rejoin Mitchell Heating & Cooling.

We were so impressed on how promptly they responded especially on a Sunday morning and sent out a technician. Richard was professional and explained to us what the situation was and was able to fix it right on the spot. The price was very reasonable. We will definitely be calling them in the future!! Issue with our system not blowing hot air. I called them for the first time this afternoon. They said someone would be out at 6:30pm. Richard was at my home assessing the issue at 6:30pm tonight. He replaced the faulty equipment and serviced the system. He was very knowledgeable, professional, and I know I will call them the next time I have an issue.

After witnessing them take advantage of an older lady I would not recommend them at all! Spent 2 hours working on AC yesterday and didn't fix the problem. Came back today and the first guy worked 10 minutes and hung around for 2 hours. Then the 2nd man showed and was there about 1 1/2 hours. They were there so long we were wondering what they were doing. The AC is supposed to be fixed..we will see. They charged her over 800.00 for the job. When she called to see if she was over charged they added 100.00 to the bill! OH...the first guy said the part was under the warranty...then today said

The first guy who showed up did not what he was doing at all. He was so unprepared had to borrow tools to work with. Then he said unit was fixed and house would cool down in about an hour. No it did not. Had to call him back finally he called someone else. They told him the part he needed. Needless to say I had to wait until the next day.
He returned the following day with part and did not know how to install it. So he waited 2 1/2 hours for someone else to show up. Still took another 1 1/2 to get fixed then the owner charges me for a $300 part that is supposed to be under warranty. Then it gets

Our downstairs AC unit wasn't working. I called Mitchell's before they opened Monday morning and left my information with the answering service. Short version: Angelo arrived earlier than expected, found the problem, went to get the part, installed the part and we had a cool downstairs by mid-afternoon. I contracted with Mitchell's to replace my HVAC system in August. The work was well done, but the final price was higher than the quoted price on the contract. When I questioned my salesman about the discrepancy, I was told that there had been a misunderstanding. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, but they never responded.
