Many dog owners admire the unique looks and personalities of purebreds, but also worry about the fate of millions of pets euthanized each year. What many people don't realize is that there are specific breed rescue organizations for almost every breed of dog, placing dogs in need to new homes. If you're thinking of getting a pet fish, you should know that your veterinarian has a lot of good advice about pet ownership.

While the vets are great the parent company is a complete joke as you get there and have to call to check in and there is a busy signal (I called 84 times just to have my dog checked in). If you arrive anytime later In the day to avoid the busy signal, they are full. They absolutely, positively NEED to start taking appointments, even if just for follow up things (stitch removal, etc.). Otherwise claiming to be an emergency vet is a bit of a misnomer. That being said, all encounters with the vets themselves have been wonderful. They are attentive, caring and thorough. The parent company is the only

Boarded my dog there for 4 days along with my parents dog. Neither has ever had any stomach problems. My dog has a stomach of steel. She’s gotten into chocolate, candy and all other kinds of human food before and never had a problem. We’ve switched her food before and never had a problem. We picked her up last Tuesday and she’s had diarrhea ever… since. So has my parents dog. We called and they told us to bring her in for an exam. We asked if we would be responsible for the exam bill since the diarrhea obviously came from something while she was boarded. They told us no

Since Covid PAH has not scheduled appts and not sure they did prior. I went by on Tues 9/7/21 & it was a 2 hour wait or more. Today I go in 1st thing 9/11/21, walk in and at least an hour due to an emergency c-section plus how ever many folks walked in before me 8 cars in drive way. People have lives, you should be able to make an appt. for the love of God make and keep appts …. Where’s the 2nd vet y’all employ … it’s just ridiculous that you have to go to VA to see a vet

Thank you Pasquotank Animal Hopsital for taking care of Rex today! I am always so impressed with everyone at this office. This is the best vet I have ever been to. Rex had so many traumatic vet visits when he… was a puppy (typical shepherd stomach issues!). This caused him to be a scared/anxious dog at the vet and in the car… even at 5 years old now! Every since we have been coming to you all he has not minded his vet visits nearly as much. You all always treat him so well and make him feel comfortable. Thank you so much. We have enjoyed every Vet and staff member we have met! I have

Today my sweet Marley had an allergic reaction and after a lot of searching and trying to figure out who could help her pasquotank animal stepped right up and took her right in. Now my sweet girl is home… resting from a long eventful day. They were so good to her and I will be bringing my pups there for their regular visits.
She was having trouble swallowing and she wasn’t her self at all. I’m so thankful for their help and making sure my baby was alright. Thank you Dr Lucas and staff you all are amazing. Thanks for loving my sweet girl.

This clinic is amazing. Friendly staff, knowledgeable Vets, clean, and everyone seemed to enjoy being there. When I asked questions, I didn’t seem rushed to get on to the next patient. The only complaint i have is the time I spent trying to get through to check in. You have to call in when you get there and give a spot number. I tried for almost 30 minutes before I was able to get through. The phone line was busy the rest of the time. After I got through it took less than an hour to get seen. For a walk in vet clinic only, I think that is pretty good. If time is your most important aspect, you

Very thorough assessment of my cat’s needs, and the staff was very friendly and concerned as well as providing a professional quality of service. I have been taking my cats for medical care to Pasquotank Animal Hospital for over 20 years and feel it is the best vet clinic in the area.

Been coming here for a while now. Long story short our dog Boomer needed his leg amputated. We waited got a call back from our wonderful vet Dr. Lucas that he was available on his day off (Monday) to do the… surgery for us. I show up Monday morning at 8am, for a tech named Heather (super sweet girl) to come outside and tell me he’s not having surgery today because apparently they had some miscommunication between the office manager(Jennifer) and a tech named Jenny... so they took it upon theirselves to just say no he’s not having surgery today not knowing any circumstances bc

Love everyone that works here! They saw my Baylee a little ago because she’s getting older and she’s in hospice at this point. I am just trying to get her tail wagging and comfortable as long as possible, with… Dr. Lucas’ help I think that I will get a little more puppy kisses from her. She means the world to me and from reception to nurses to doctors everyone of them, even during a pandemic, were just amazing. I have been to hospitals where the front was good and the back wasn’t or Vice versa but this place has it all. The first time I went I waited almost 2hrs to
