I can not express the gratitude and comfort I feel with this amazing veterinary clinic! There are so many appreciative comments to make, such as...
1- They were able to give me an appointment the very next day for my newly acquired bearded dragon and the necrotic tip of its tail!
**I need to add that I was not a client at the time AND as I was blessed with caring for this little creature, my knowledge of, well any reptile, was ZERO😳**
2- I was late due to my directionally challenged self 😵‍💫 yet they were very understanding and I was able to keep my appointment!

Always welcomed by the friendly receptionists when you walk in. The medical team is friendly, helpful and professional. Dr. Redding and Dr. Hancock are amazing and very compassionate with all my fur babies. I’ve never boarded any of my pets there but my friends tell me their animals are well taken care of. Everyone there that I have interacted with are always very helpful and they definitely show they care about the animals that come in and their clients! Love this place and wouldn’t go anywhere else!

I'm so happy I found this Vet when I moved to Chesapeake last year. They are all so kind, and you can tell they love the animals they care for. When it was time to say goodbye to our sweet dog. Shadow they couldn't have been kinder. I highly recommend this animal hospital.

Everyone was super nice since the moment i stepped through the front door. they also handled my little kitty pungo with care and showed him a bunch of love. i left feeling like i fully knew how to proceed with his treatment and had all my questions answered. i felt like the whole staff was truly listening to my concerns. great experience, great prices, great staff!

I always get the most honest feedback. I am given explanation for why certain things should or should not be performed. I feel I get an education about my babies while I am there. They performed miracle that I did not think were possible. They clipped my pit bull’s nails. Two of my pits refuse to let me trim their nails, and they were able to do it for me which I truly did not think would be possible without sedation and they did it without muzzles. We highly recommend Hickory Veterinary Hospital to our local families and community! We made an urgent call to them last week when we couldn't get our cat's own vet to see her along with calling 6 other places to just hear the word NO, we can't see her.

Everyone there is wonderful to deal with. They are very caring and thorough. I have been very pleased with every interaction that I have had there over several years.

We took three of our fur babies to visit Dr Hancock as she has recently joined hickory veterinary hospital. We have been patients of hers for many years and would follow her to the Moon if we had to! Our experience at Hickory was a good one and our pets were treated very well. I'm thankful we get to stay as patients of Dr. Hancock's! Thank you staff for making our visit such a nice one.

My daughter dropped off her cat to board, cat had been boarded many times before This was her first and last time trusting them with her cat , They called her 1 1/2 hours later to tell her she needed to come back and pick up her cat . How can a veterinarian hospital not be competent to care for a cat????? Run away from this place. Save your cat !!! Incompetent boarding!

I’m REALLY disappointed in the service my dog and I received at Hickory Veterinary Hospital today. I took my two Mini Poodles in yesterday afternoon to update their shots. I was charged $609 for both dogs, which is really steep. After getting home one of my pups was limping. He can’t go up the stairs, he can’t jump on the bed, he can’t get on the couch, he can’t sit, and whimpers in pain when touched and sometimes even while laying down. I called the office right away but they had closed for the day. I called again first thing this morning. The staff said the vet would prescribe pain

My baby girl has received outstanding treatment and during her last 3 visits has seen Dr Redding . His “bedside” manner is excellent! You can go in with your pet!! Prices was better than the big box corps! Friendly, helpful, Professional, got right to the point and helped with getting her the help she needed. I'm so grateful to them.

I have been searching for a vet to see my Luis and no one was available to see him. Hickory Vet hospital was recommended to me online. I called got an appointment and he was seen that day. I took him there, the staff updated all his shots took care of us so amazingly. I love this place. They are so accommodating and funny. Let me tell u, I came In Worried and left happy and laughed some. Something I needed. They truly made my day. Yayyyy.
Luis is my fur brother, he belongs to my mom so it’s important that he is in tip top shape.

The staff is wonderful! Dr. Redding is awesome!! The way he just seems to know what my fur babies need. My pitbull mix has bad arthritis in her knees and hips - after several rounds of acupuncture she acts like a new pup. She loves Dr. Redding as much as we do. I give them 10 stars for sure!
