Services
With consideration of the public health crisis and limited staff in our off season, the Olympic Bike Shop Service Department will be operating with modified protocol. PLEASE READ: Because our wash/sanitation station is not available during winter months, your bike MUST BE THOROUGHLY CLEANED before being dropped off.
Our rental bikes are a great way to get a barely used bike for a fraction of the retail price. Most of our bikes are only used for our short summer season. Can I Apply My Rental Charge to My Rental Bike Purchase? What About Demos? If you have rented or demo'd a bike, save your receipt because you can apply up to one full day's rental/demo charge towards the purchase of that bicycle.
There are a variety of paved multi-use paths in the area. There are bathroom facilities, water fountains, and trail markers available on these routes. Bike maps are available at our rental desk, and feel free to ask for advice on what trail would best suit your needs! All the paths are easily accessible from Olympic Bike Shop.

Did a weekend MTB rental online. The bike was ready before I arrived, was exactly as advertised, suspension was dialed for my weight. The staff spent 10 minutes asking me what kind of ride I wanted and for how long then walked me through a map of the area and gave me a handful of options that were easy to understand. I rent bikes from many places all over the US and this is probably the best experience I've had doing so.

I’m from out of state and Craig has been nothing short of phenomenal. Communication is quick, expectations are clear, and service is A1. Craig didn’t hesitate to find me a solution for my situation and answer my questions. Makes me wish I lived closer because of the sweet trails he recommended and the awesome shop. I’ll continue doing business here regardless of being in Utah.

Truly a memorable and beautiful experience renting electric bicycles from Olympic bike shop! This was our very first time riding electric bicycles and surely we are going to be return customers going forward!
Hubby placed the reservation on the website. Parking was a bit unclear at first however when we asked we were informed there was a large parking lot just across the street at a local playground. We were given clear instructions on how to use the bikes so that we wouldn't get injured. As a bonus we were also given a recommendation on where to ride our bikes to which turned out to be

We signed an agreement to rent bikes 2 weeks prior and woke up today to very unhealthy air quality. Called Olympic bike to inquire about cancellation due to the conditions. Paul was very adamant about not biking due to today’s very poor air quality. Paul issued us a full refund. A first class gesture.
When we return to Lake Tahoe, no matter where we stay, we will use Olympic bike for our rental bikes. They genuinely care about your health!

We rented a variety of 6 bikes (sizes, style, baby carriage tie behind etc) for our family! They were all clean, in perfect working order and ready to go! We called about 10 minutes ahead, then walked over. When we arrived they already had most of our bikes out to get everything ready for us to quickly get in & out & on our ride. They guys are super friendly & helpful & pointed us in the right direction for our rude! First time we've ever used e-bikes, it was fun & made the elevation changes a bit easier! Nice staff, friendly knowledgeable service. Despite not offering Class 2 Ebike rentals, the pedal-assist low-step bike I did rent was very easy on my multipally-fused spine and aging legs so I had a great, unstressed c.25-mile Truckee River Trail ride. Olympic staff quickly adjusted seat height and angle to make my ride comfortable. Thanks, Olympic!

Wow, very impressed with this bike shop. There were several bike shops to select from, and we found their pricing to be the best. But also, their custom service skills were on point. I went to Olympic Bike Shop to purchase a mountain bike. I had looked at all the bike shops in my area, Reno, before calling Olympic and finding out they had what I was looking for.
I am very happy I went with Olympic. The employees were EXTREMELY helpful and polite. They had decent prices and a very clean shop. When purchasing one of the bicycles they found an issue with it, and replaced parts without me having to ask them.
I would 100% recommend this shop.

Came up on vacation to mountain bike, needed my front tire resealed because I had a very slow leak, very simple job. I dropped off my bike, Harrison specifically told me it should take 1 hour tops. After 3 hours I called and asked if they had any ETA for when my bike tire should be done because I've been waiting around to ride, & was told they haven't even started on it yet. It's now 6 hours later with no response, to seal one tire, ridiculous. Put a damper on my plans on mountain biking on my vacation. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

I can't speak highly enough of my experience with Olympic Bike Shop. From how seriously they are taking COVID to going above & beyond in their customer service, I can't recommend them enough. I originally stopped by to buy my first pair of bike shoes with cleats. The salespersons were super patient with my newbie questions, which I super appreciated. I told them about some other issues I'd been having with my bike they recommended I bring it back in a few days for a new saddle. So I did so not knowing what I was asking for help with. Not only did they get me the right saddle

Olympic bike shop has fast service and a knowledgeable staff. I came in with 2 bikes that needed handle bars wrapped and the chains needed to be lubed. The staff pointed me in the right direction for the wraps, helped me select them and said they would have the bikes done end of day. I was very happy with the service and their suggestions.

This shop is my go-to whenever I need anything for my bike. I pestered them with questions about what type of bike to buy for a year before committing to buying one and they were extremely helpful throughout the entire process. They genuinely want to make sure their customers are happy and are extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the product. I bought my bike from them in April, a couple of weeks into the pandemic and John drove the bikes over to Incline Village for me to test out before buying. Paul helped me buy pedals and shoes this past weekend and I am extremely happy with my purchases
