My son found a ski jacket he absolutely loved but could not find it anywhere except BlueZoneSports. We called the South Lake store and was able to get hold of Paris. He was EXTREMELY helpful and friendly. Not only was he able to secure us the last jacket but he was kind enough to ship it to a store more convenient for us. Thank you so much to BlueZone and an even bigger thank you to Paris. This guy definitely deserves a raise!

Terrific customer service. I bought ski boots. Khalil who fitted me for the boots and he was very knowledgeable and helped me feel very confident in my selection. I've been seeing for years, but still learned some helpful information from Khalil and the Blue Zone team. I went on a Tuesday morning and they helped me get in and out quickly in time to make it to the mountain.
Update: Tremendous follow up customer service. I went back the store the day after my boot purchase to ask about some discomfort I was feeling in a part of my foot after wearing the boots for a day. The store manager Dana worked

Not a single person in the store was wearing a mask! Not an employee and not a single customer and not even a sign at the front door stating you need to wear a mask when you come in. I would never frequent a business that was that irresponsible. In addition they don't have anything! It's a bunch of mess! They have a mess of stuff everywhere. But nothing worth buying.
Still in the middle of a pandemic. Super irresponsible! Shame on you!

So happy with these guys. This weekend was their big sale and we got back to town too late on Sunday, cruised by on Monday and they let us still shop the sale! Johnna (might be spelled wrong) was awesomesauce helping us with helmets and glasses. Dana was so awesome to let us in and get what we needed! Thanks guys!!!

Customer service doesn’t exist here - I gave them many chances and not one employee ever has been helpful, always seemed bothered or preoccupied talking to coworkers - or they love running into the back stock when they see a customer, instead of greeting them. This is why these store are going out of business- from now on I’ll just shop online - even had an employee- short older lady with short brown hair walk into me twice while I was holding my baby, she never even excused herself. Just an awful place to shop, with useless employees.

Nice to see more sporting goods in come to our South area of Reno. This is a new, nicely organized store with some cute women's clothing and shoes. They have my favorite brand of flip flops here ate a reasonable price. The staff are very friendly. Hope this store gets the foot traffic and business that it needs and that the store succeeds. We need the diversity in South Reno!

These guys are great, super helpful, and very knowledgeable about what they're selling. I went in there the other day with some questions regarding my mountain bike, and Ben fixed me up with everything I needed! They are super nice, friendly and inviting. I would 100% recommend anyone visit this shop from water recreation, skis and biking.

Me and my friends went to the store less than two weeks ago and the costumer service was terrible. We got to the store half hour after they opened and they said they were all out of our size of snowboard boots for renting, we were trying to make it work with the sizes that they gave us and we were being really understanding with the fact that they didn’t had our sizes, which was completely fine, but the entirely time it didn’t look like they wanted to help us at all. These guys are rockstars! Went in to try to find ski boots and Jordan helped me try on literally every pair they had in my size! He was patient and knowledgeable and even took the time to double check with another seasoned team member to validate the sizing. They have a huge selection of winter sports gear AND summer sports gear for mountains biking, road biking, kayaking... Dude! They have it all! The manager, Benj, was also amazing! When they didn't have my size, they offered to call around to their other local stores and have the item transferred to the store so I could just pick it up

We visited this store just to look around for some biking accessories and a Bike rack for our vehicle.
The staff, what staff? I don't think there are people working at this location. Oh wait, that must be one of them chit chatting at the front and just making jokes and too distracted to even greet people as they come in. Or maybe the kid hiding in the corner as he plays on his phone and when asked if he worked here said "yeah but I'm not on the clock" oh ok, never mind thank you.

A couple of things I look for at a ski shop is a good inventory, and a friendly staff, Blue Zone had both! From the moment I walked in I was promptly greeted, and my first initial thought was "wow these guys have the best selection of equipment I've seen since pre pandemic" from their ski/snowboarding gear to clothing they had it all! I'm a regular shopper at all of the local ski stores and their selection might just be the best in Reno! Really sweet to see another Sport Store open in Reno. Blue Zone Sports has been around for years. I've been doing business in the Truckee store for years. In fact I just pick up a pair of Oberemeyer Ski pants. They have a 30% sale right now on all there winter clothing. Both stores have a good selection left of name brand things on sale at a very reasonable price. A number of there ski's were also discounted. The new Summit store really impressed me with the varied of products they had packed in there. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Had a very pleasant experience and am positive

I'm so disappointed, as I thought these guys were going to be the shop Reno desperately needs. Don't get your hopes up. Everything was great until the moment they had my money and that's where the trouble begins.
After spending $1600 on gear and being promised the skis I purchased would be there in 2 days or less, they're still not there nearly 2 weeks later. This is where the old charming Charlie's use to be :) what a great and NEEDED trendy , clean and OPEN store!
You can rent and buy skis and snowboards .... snow shoe season leases !! (Kids - $99/129 Adults $129). Day and weekly rentals also!
What an amazing addition to our neighborhood!! Staff is so helpful, place is so clean ... you could eat off the floor! Everything is in stellar condition!
If you haven't checked this place out, bring your checkbook .... you're gonna love it!

Worst service I've ever had at ANY business! They cannot even complete the most important task of a ski shop, mounting the ski in the correct place. They did not know how to find the center of the ski and mounted my ski 2cm back from the factory recommended line, making the ski unable to perform. When I came to pick up my skis the employee did not even notice it was incorrect and just handed them over. They then proceeded to give me excuses and lie to me about what they said they would do "take care of me". I never got a refund for the mount that day and days later I had to call back to follow
