Services
Led by a passion for authenticity and a deep connection to the land they call home, the Hedges Family epitomizes the modern wine estate. A blend of rich cultural upbringings and a shared love for creating beautiful wine converge at the heart of bucolic Red Mountain, fostering a true homegrown approach to farming and viticulture.
Select your seafood you wish to use for your Cioppino, we usually use Scallops, shrimp, fresh clams, and fresh fish. French people love their "crudits" in the summer. That sounds like something amazing to eat but in reality, the translation in English is something like "raw vegetables." Malvan is located on India's western coast and has a distinctive cuisine based largely on seafood, coconut and rice.
The Hedges Wine Club offers members allocations of our estate only wines from the Red Mountain AVA. We offer two allocations per year divided between our Descendants Ligeois Dupont wines in the spring and our Hedges Family Estate wines in the fall. Check out photos from past events here! The Red Mountain Club is tailored for enthusiasts who want our most generous allocation of wine, as well as access to our most exclusive benefits.
Visits to our winery are best made by reservation for a safe, private, seated tasting experience. Walk-ins are accommodated as space is available. It was ok.. staff were under educated, did not know what residual sugars were when asked on tasting the rose’. They also did not know much else and just kept referring to the tasting notes. Smelt like vinegar when we walked in.. not sure if it was cleaning supplies or if something had broke but the air was far from neutral. Flights were confusing, although the pours very generous. We appreciated the tour through the facility and the building is unique. The wines were ok.. not the greatest in terms of what one would expect on Red Mountain, although the Syrah was one that did stand out as something

This winery is ridiculously lovely. There are flowers and plants and chickens and a fountain and grapevines and glass sculptures and fairy lights... it is magical. My husband and I arrived a little after 4pm with a reservation, and I'm not sure if it was because they closed at 5pm or what, but our service was a little spotty. The girl we got seemed a bit annoyed that we were there. Maybe it was because we had just received the best service ever at Fidelitas but maybe not... Anyway, it wasn't awful, just uncomfortable. We felt rushed. I chose to try the spring club flight and my

A one-of-a-kind experience. The plan was to surprise my wife for her birthday with a visit from our Daughter who has been away at college for quite some time. I THOUGHT I made a brunch reservation for 10:30 but it turns out the winery doesn't open until 11..reservation was at 11:30...oops! My Daughter shows up at 10 and ran into the owner Anne-Marie who recognized my mistake and started to strategize immediately for where best to stash her until my wife arrived. The surprise was straight out of a movie and couldn't have gone any better!
Owners Anne-Marie and Tom were wonderful hosts

You could easily confuse this beautiful winery for France. This place is stunning. Even if you're not a wine drinker, I would come here to sip on some water just to see this place.
Definitely the most beautiful winery in the area. I wish they hosted brunch here or something. Can you imagine brunching with mimosas at this beautiful castle?!
As for the wine, I loved the red tasting they offered. I can't speak to much on the actual taste of each wine because I was too focused on the aesthetics of this stunning winery.

The moment you drive into their vineyard you see a sea of gorgeous vines with nice labels on groups of them (merlot, Syrah, etc). You walk past a row of fresh grapes into their courtyard which has well placed trees, benches and fountains.
The staff was very friendly right from the beginning and was quick to seat us. They checked on us pretty frequently considering how many people were there too.
The syrahs (which is primarily what I had) had a oak and cigar profile, bone dry, a bit tannic and a bit acidic. They were pretty good but none that made a bottle purchase worth it.

The building and grounds are absolutely stunning. The wine was good but the experience was very disappointing. The staff, although friendly, overall felt rushed and more importantly failed to market or explain any of their wines. For example, I was given their “LHC”. No explanation or story for the wine at all. Also wine tastings are only complimentary if you become members of their wine club. Just ridiculous. No matter how many bottles I buy, it’s insane to not just waive the $20 pp fee. I was willing to buy some bottles but this knowledge made me just want to leave and never visit again

We love going to the Hedges Estate while in the Red Mountain area. They have lovely wines at a great price point. They have a great story and its great that they are also environmentally conscious with their bio dynamic wines and vineyards. We attended a winemaker dinner here and it was very nice. They were very accommodating with the menu and the wines they paired with the food. They gave us A+ treatment while we were there and gave us a wonderful tour too. I would definitely recommend a stop while you are in town.

We went here because we were hungry! In addition to fantastic wines, they sell packaged meats, cheeses, and crackers, which pair great with the wine. It was busy when we came on the 4th of July, but staff were always attentive and friendly. Live music outside was excellent, too! This is a new favorite.

Our first visit to Red Mountain and Hedges winery.
Such a wonderful experience and incredible wine.
We met Kathy at the tasting room and appreciated her knowledge and hospitality. She was instrumental in helping us zero in on our Hedges wine selections. We were not in need of another wine club but Hedges was too good to pass on.
Thank you Kathy.
Most sincerely,
Pamela and Brian

The estate and tasting area are gorgeous and the pours generous. We came in seeking to sample some good wine and enjoy a picnic, and we were able to do both. We purchased two glasses of wine for $5-$7 each (after a few samples) and sat outside in the shaded courtyard to drink the wine and eat our picnic. We'd recommend this vineyard to others!

What a treat it was to come here. They are not always open, but we lucked out on our last trip to Red Mountain. After walking down a long drive with vines on either side, watching videos of the family speak about their passion for organic farming, terroir-forward wines, and serving a wide array of price points, and of course tasting the wine I was totally enamored. They were even gracious enough to give my friend ice for her swollen ankle, and take us into a part of the private cellar. The views are also amazing; the terrace is reminiscent of a French country estate set on a hilltop that overlooks

One of the best wines I've had, just happens to be a biodynamic wine, I don't believe in the cultish process and I got a feeling neither did the winemaker, but like any great winemaker, she wants to challenge herself with new styles and techniques. My favorite wine was the 2013 biodynamic cab, but everything else is on par. It's nice to see more and more women in the industry making amazing wines.
