Founded in 2006 by Paul and Betty Woolls, Progeny Winery presents a love story of lives and vines rooting together. A shared passion for fine wine, cuisine and the magical Napa Valley Mount Veeder area bound Paul and Betty together in marriage and winemaking. Their 32-acre Woolls Ranch Vineyard surrounding the Progeny winery includes several Bordeaux and Rhone varieties.
Each year, Progeny releases four limited-production wines: Trinity Blanc, Trinity Rouge, Mt. Veeder Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon and their flagship bottling, Special Selection Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon. The winemaking philosophy at Progeny focuses on extended barrel and bottle aging, resulting in wines of power, balance and elegance with an exotic bouquet and a lingering finish.

Services
Our ninth vintage remained in French oak for 32 months, followed by 36 months of bottle aging before release. We feel our flagship cuvee captures the prime essence of the Mt. Veeder appellation by demonstrating its capability of extreme longevity. Showcasing a dark purple red with ruby hue and vibrant clarity, aromas of fragrant dried cranberries and black fruit open to a bouquet of violets, coco powder, graphite, and savory herbs de Provence.
Enhanced health and safety protocols have been implemented to ensure the wellbeing of our guests and employees. We kindly ask that you wear a mask if you are not fully vaccinated. Open by prior appointment only, we offer a variety of wine tasting and culinary experiences Monday through Sunday in our award-winning Hospitality Center.
By joining our mailing list, you have expressed an interest in receiving a wine allocation from Progeny Estate Winery. Amazing experience and what an incredible view! Simply the best view I have ever seen! Our host did an amazing job and the wines are outstanding! We bought a few bottles of wine and signed up for the club! We will for sure be back and upgrade to a culinary experience! Progeny is such a beautiful place to visit! You won't be disappointed!

We arrived at the beautiful hill of Progeny and were greeted by Anthony. After a tour of the property, Anthony began our wine and cheese pairing which was awesome! The pairings were done beautifully, and Anthony made the experience special. We bought several bottles to bring home and will definitely be going back.

I am blessed enough to help run a great business. I am in sales, I work a ton, and I take very little time off. I am at a point in my life where I cherish and appreciate great experiences. In November, my wife and I had our tenth anniversary. Pandemic. Fires. 2020 in full effect.
Absolutely unreal experience here. From Blanca showing us the property, safely and at distance, to the chef making some of the best meals we have ever experienced. Unreal. Pairing their wines with a truly exceptional culinary experience was incredible.

Founded in 2006 by Paul and Betty Woolls (O'Shaughnessy Estate). Definitely off the beaten path but those who love good wine will come. The views of Mt Veeder is fantastic. The wine tasting room architecture draws visitors toward breathtaking views of Mount Veeder and the valley below. It's outdoor tasting only and it can get hot. The Trinity Blanc is good but it's their cabernets that are amazing. The 2015 Mt Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon (78%), Malbec (8%), Merlot (6%), St. Macaire (6%) and Cabernet Franc (2%) and Progeny's Special Selection Reserve (S.S.R.) at 100% Cabernet

Even though our group purchased over $1,500 in wine, they refused to comp the wine tasting fee of $65 per person. First time that has happened to me. Seems very short-sighted, since I tend to bring quite a few friends to various Napa tastings. Their wine is good, but not so over the top that they should take such a hard line position. They must think a lot of themselves.
