Pacific Grove Hospital is a nationally recognized 68 bed acute psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment center offering inpatient & outpatient services for psychiatric illnesses, addictions & co-occurring disorders. One unit is our Chemical Dependency Program, where patients can be medically detoxed and receive treatment unique to their needs.

This place is up to no good... i was there as an outpatient rather than an inpatient... but it was still a bad experience... i was there from September 2018 to December 2018 and i was treated with bigotry... the older black lady named alise who did process group would kick me out of the group for no discernable reason other than probably cuz im a straight white male and would always yell at me and argue with me when i didnt do anything wrong... and wayne wilson did the same thing too he had a guff towards me... all i wanted to do is get better with my mental health and he just wouldnt stop bugging

This place is horrible no one answers the phone I called at 5pm it rang for 1 hr and half for someone to pick and hang up on me I call back it rang for another hour for them to tell me to call back in an hour because they only have one nurse on duty and he was busy I call back I am using two phones since they have two phone numbers listed and it’s been over an hour of both phones ringing. If you have a choice do not come here your family members will never get a hold of anyone because they just don’t answer their phones. If I could rate them negative 5 stars I would. I will escalate my complaint

The rooms are NOT clean. I used a wash cloth to to wipe down my bed before sleeping in it and afterwards the wash cloth looked like I scrubbed the floor. The housekeepers are young girls there to get paid. For 3 days they came in, emptied the trash, swept the middle of the floor and walked back out the room. Never seen their cleaning cart, disinfectant spray, mop or anything like that. They didn't even check the bathroom.

0 star actually. They don’t answer their phones AT ALL. I never got through the to talk to my bf the entire time he was there. I had to wait an hour one time and most times i wait 30mins and just give up. I give them a message and my bf said he never got it. The staff are unprofessional and instead of helping their patients there’s some staff that brings them down. Don’t work in the medical field if you have no compassion or understanding. This place was nothing but a headache. I’m just glad he’s out of there.

Fled, janelle, the pharmacy(people that give out meds), and a couple of the nurses and the doctor was awesome. But overall the staff is miserable and it is very visible. Patients are very neglected and ignored constantly. Patients there need to be hospitalized because they are deteriorating, some very young but they keep them there for the money. Very sad. I pray things get better. But I do have to say I needed a place like this to really connect with others of mine and see how other people go through more than I do. So I am thankful to have met the patients there and really realize my life is

My daughter just arrived the other day. So far not too happy with the communication. they seldom answer the phone on the unit. Then when I finally got through, they said the systems were down and I needed a code from my daughter. Finally got to talk to my daughter and she didn't have a code. Hopefully systems get fixed soon. I'll keep you posted.
Daughter was released on Christmas. She said that it was a decent place. The phone system never got better.
