Dr. Kinsey Honeyman is originally from Northern Illinois. She attended the University of Illinois and graduated as a James Scholar with a Bachelor of Science in Molecular and Cellular Biology in 2006. She then studied at Southern College of Optometry and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Doctorate of Optometry in 2010.
Visiting an eye doctor for an annual eye exam is incredibly important to maintaining the health of your eyes, regardless of your age. Adults, seniors, and children should make an appointment with our optometrist on a yearly basis in order to correct any vision issues, update prescriptions for eyeglasses and contact lenses, prevent vision loss, and identify any early warning signs of disease.
Today, there is a plethora of contact lenses on the market and all have their advantages and disadvantages. At Highpoint Family Vision our doctors will review your ocular surface, comfort demands, visual needs, and lifestyle to recommend the best contact lenses based upon your requirements.
Our doctors are proficient in prescribing more complicated contact lens, including; toric contact lenses for astigmatism, multi-focals (bi-focal contact lenses), Rigid Gas Permeable (RGPs), Bitoric Gas Permables, Multifocal Gas Permables, and scleral contact lenses.

Your child's best eye care begins early. Even if no eye or vision problems are apparent, the American Optometric Association recommends scheduling eye examinations for your child at ages 1, 3, and 5. Highpoint Family Vision volunteers in a public health program called InfantSEE. Under this program, our doctor provides a comprehensive infant eye assessment between 6 and 12 months of age as a no-cost public service.
Eye-related emergency room visits are oftentimes misdiagnosed because emergency rooms do not have the specialized equipment to properly diagnose eye-related disorders. Patients have found themselves returning to their eye care specialists after emergency room visits in order to receive more accurate care for their eye emergencies.

I’ve gone to Highpoint Family Vision for several years. I always feel the doctors do a careful and thorough eye exam. They answer all my many questions in a friendly, open and professional manner. The office staff and technicians are also very friendly and help in any way they can with all matters! I do recommend them for anyone needing eye care.

This review has been long overdue, but I been coming here for about 4 to 5 years now and there's a reason I keep going back. I normally see Dr. Dustin Honeyman, but yesterday I got to meet his wife Dr. Kinsey Honeyman and she's just as good! They both are attentive and friendly! They make me feel comfortable and explain everything they're doing when doing your exam. I had an emergent issue and I called to see if they could see me in a short notice and they had an opening the same day. Dr Honeyman answered all my questions and she explained in detail what was wrong with my eye. I felt much better

Everyone I encountered went out of their way to make sure this was a pleasant experience. The doctor spent a lot of time with me and was very thorough. He made sure I understood the eye disease that I have.
After feeling like just a number at the place that I used to go, I found this to be refreshingly opposite. My family practice dr highly recommeded Highpoint to me, and I'm so glad I checked them out for myself!!!

Just had my first eye exam with Highpoint. Diagnostic imaging was first and very efficient. Got an adjustment to my prescription. The doctor explained what she saw in the diagnostic images. No drama when I elected to reuse my frames rather than pick new ones. Everyone was incredibly friendly and professional. Highly recommend.
