Services
In 1993, Therese and Dan Martin began planting rows of Cabernet Sauvignon along their 17 acre property, with the intent of selling their fruit to local wineries. Four years later, Therese and Dan got the itch to give winemaking a go, and by 2002 they released their first commercial crush of 625 cases.
Reservations are encouraged. Walk-ins are welcome on a space available basis but are not guaranteed seated tasting experience. Each reservation includes a 75 minute outdoor seated tasting with 5 wines from our tasting menu. Once your 75 minute reservation has ended, we will happily pack up any wine purchases you have made before you make your way back to your car.
At Martin Ranch Winery, everything we do revolves around sharing our love of wine. As a member of our Wine Club, you receive quarterly shipments of wines selected by winemakers Therese and Dan Martin. These wines are what our winemakers believe best showcase the Santa Cruz Mountains, Santa Clara Valley, and Arroyo Seco terroirs, and their quarterly selections allow you to expand your knowledge of varietals local to our area.
Wellness starts with you!-Therese Martin shares her insight and journey on wellness in these quick video clips & recipes. Along with super tasty and easy to make plant-based recipes straight from the garden to her kitchen. Two simple ideas from the heart that are so good for you! Lentils are a great substitute for meat and if you are not a bean fan you may become a lentil fan.
The winery office is open by reservation for inquiries, purchases and wine pick up every Wed. We'll let you know the good stuff like when we're open for tasting, and what's new at the winery. Great wine and greater people! They are the gold standard for the Santa Clara AVA wine experience. Looking forward to the day when we can actually spend time there again. In the interim we will enjoy our pick up.

Expensive tasting at $15 and no souvenir glass. Wines were okay. Members only tasting area has a playground for kids but ordinary visitors can't use it.

With an extra day in San Jose, my fiance and I decided to try out a nearby vinyard. Without many reviews for any wineries in the area, we took a chance on Martin Ranch and are very glad that we did! Not only was the wine some of the best we've ever had (and we've done wine tours in Napa, Buenos Aires, Santiago, and around Italy to name a few) but the people were warm, welcoming, and very generous! If you're in the area, make the trip to Martin Ranch. You won't regret it! We're already planning our return.
