Cedar tree village was the first apartment I moved into and I liked the place. Previous managed by Steve and now managed by Kim. This is a pretty nice area and in a great location in Wilmington Delaware. The only problem I have is that if you live below someone the ceiling is thin and you can here the creaking(it is an old complex). If you’re ok with that then I would recommend this place!

I lived here 2 years and while Steve was here the place was pretty peaceful. Ever since the new management its been terrible, i cannot recommend this place to anyone. The management let my neighbors continue to cause noise problems past 1 am because the manager had a personal bias towards them. Half of our building is leaving I suggest stay clear from this place unless you want to POSSIBLY be ignored by management. Oh yea rent goes up for this too. You pay more for their worse job. Bring Steve back.

The management is worst. They are behaving like this because many of us don’t know tenant rights. I wrote a letter to monarch properties regarding the issues here/behavior of management and waiting for response. Many of my friends who left these apartments faced issues and who are staying here still facing issues. Before coming here, make sure to call atleast one person who already staying here. They will explain you the whole story.
At the time of vacating they will charge you more than $800 atleast irrespective of how clean your apartment is while you moving out. I been in woodhollow and Cedartrace

It's the best apartment complex I've lived in. It's in a good area but I took off a star because there isn't enough closet space and the brand new dishwasher is the worst I've ever owned. My old apartment's 30+ year old dishwasher (wood paneling) was better. And no washer and dryer - at least not in the one bedroom units. Quiet woods out back but that seems to harm cell phone reception and destroys tv reception. Like I said though, the safe quiet area is straight fabulous.

All my neighbor does is smoke weed and the smell is pumped into my apartment via the air ducts. I've made multiple complaints but management will not respond. Ive also complained about how the children in the complex ride bikes in the parking lot non stop which is dangerous for them and us... I've almost run them over on multiple occasions and they have come close to damaging parked vehicles. Once again, no response from management. Also, the walls are VERY thin so prepare to hear everything your neighbors do. One positive is that it is close to 2 supermarkets.

Nice neat and clean apartments. Very well managed. We stayed there for 2 years and didnt have any complaints.
Cons:
1. No second bathroom even in 2 bd apts.
Pros:
1. Gas heating and cooking
2. Rent includes gas and water. Rents are low compared to similar category aprtments in the area.
3. Excellent onsite services - we had issue with hetaing and the guy came and fixed immediately in the night.
4. Close to I95
Would definitely recommend to a friend.

It is a nice community with a diverse population Asians making up most of the residents. The apartments need to be updated with new kitchen appliances; it is very old and falling apart, new carpet; the carpet in my apartment is very thin, has a large red stain in the dining room area from the previous resident, and cigarette burn holes in the bedroom. In addition, the showerhead and sliding glass doors should be replaced; you can see where the lining and the corners of the shower have been caulked and have now turned brown, and the ceilings should be reinforced. I can hear every step the person
