Vision insurance is designed to help lessen the financial burden of a routine eye exam, where the purpose is to check the eyes for the need for glasses, as well as for the glasses themselves (contact lenses and evaluation are also sometimes covered by vision insurance with a copay). Medical insurance is designed to help lessen the financial burden of a visit where the purpose is anything BUT the determination of the need for glasses.
One thing that a lot of us can expect as we grow older is our vision worsening. It's a fact of life. However, regular eye exams can help our team keep your eyes happy and healthy. Eye exams help us keep track of changes in your vision over time, giving us the chance to manage any conditions or diseases that may begin to develop.
As a parent, you want to make sure your child's eyes are developing correctly. However, since children's eyes continually grow and change throughout childhood, it's important to take them for regular eye exams so your optometrist can track these changes and make appropriate suggestions. This is why the American Optometric Association (AOA) recommends and encourages parents to ensure their children's eyes are examined regularly.
Diabetes is a disease that affects how your body processes glucose (sugar). Some might think that diabetes will only change what they eat (which is true), but it also can have a considerable effect on many other aspects of your health, including your eye health. The risk of developing vision-harming eye diseases is almost double when you have diabetes.

This optometry center is great! Extremely thorough from the second you walk in the door. Reception covers all copayments, so you know why to expect at the end of the appointment, and ensures everyone is safe for entry during covid. The technicians explain all the testing and make patients feel at ease during all of it, really appreciate that I know what's going on throughout the testing- don't like getting caught off guard. And the exam itself is great, Dr Lew and Lin are very informative and helpful! And the optical area is always clean and well presented. They have a great frame selection

Dr. Lin and Dr. Lew are so professional and thorough! I came in to renew my contacts prescription, and was introduced to new daily contacts. I learned that daily contacts are healthier for my eyes than my old monthly lenses. They showed me how much buildup there was in my monthly lenses... it's hard to manage them every day!
Really impressed with the team, and their Covid protocols. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable.
They educated me on blue light protection for over my contacts. Highly recommend!!

Incredibly mismanaged, irresponsible office. Doctors are ok, just like everywhere else. Equipment is just like everywhere else, somewhat dated. What different is a completely mismanaged, irresponsible office, callous attitudes, lack of follow up and follow through. This results in huge headache for a patient every time. Stay away! You can do much better almost anywhere else. I would call this office a bottom of the barrel.

Great experience all around. Even with Covid : ) My first experience getting a prescription and getting glass frames. The staff and doctor were all very thorough, helpful and knowledgeable. So glad I didn't let some of the negative reviews effect my choice to try VDOC. Some of the problems people have with front desk and billing should really be addressed in person. No need to leave negative reviews.

The best eye exam I've had in a long time. De Stephanie Lew is the best! So caring and takes her time! They are thorough and have the best top notch equipment. No air puff here! They have the OPTOMAP for imaging and you get to review the results with the doctor! It is sooooo cool! The staff are friendly and super informative. I was in and out in no time. I was skeptical with covid but they have their protocols enforced which made me feel safe. Thank you!

Last year they screwed up my new prescription lens and it took another month to settle. This year I was 11 mins late to an appointment to only learn that they have a 10min late policy and then they require you to reschedule and will charge you for a missed appointment.
The last time I checked, there are as many Optometrist as there are Cleaners. They should be striving to keep customers, not turn them away. I proceeded to let them know I was never coming back. I wouldn't walk from this group, I would run!

I highly recommend coming here to purchase your glasses. More importantly, if you go to another optometrist I highly encourage you to compare the pricing from your optometrist to Vision Dynamics. I have learned that many optometrists hyper-inflate the price. Vision Dynamics does not. I recommend stopping by and seeing Paola. Professional, knowledgeable, and super friendly.

I just came in along for the ride. I drove my sister and nephew here for an exam. The ladies that were here are wonderful, fantastic customer service. While I was waiting they were friendly and even helped with a repair on my glasses, even though they were not purchased there. I would definitely recommend them!!

I strongly recommend that you select a different office for your optometry needs.
I've been working with same optometrist for over a decade. She switched to Vision Dynamics, but recently changed offices.
While my OD was fantastic, there were always issues with the office: placed on hold, voicemail, text messaging with no response, could not find my file, took weeks to get sample contacts, etc.
I recently realized that I needed more contacts. I was informed by Costco that my Rx had expired by one month. I contacted Vision Dynamics to get a short extension so that I could order contacts

Dr Lin is great and you get the feeling she does care about her patients. Ortho-K has been great for my daughter!
However, the office staff is sub-par. You would think they would warn you in advance when they raise prices by $200-300. Once you are in the office you can't do much about it. But maybe they've figured that out and that's why they don't inform you in advance.
They do apologize a lot though, almost too much b/c by the end, you don't believe them anymore.
And don't bother asking to talk to whoever's in charge, you only get the receptionist who talks

I love the eye doctors here but the "reception" staff makes me want to change optometrists EVERY year!
They will email, text and call you to get you in for your exam, they will gladly take thousands of dollars from you and your insurance company but god forbid you need something from them, and there is no accountability or follow through.
How difficult is it to return an phone call? How hard is it to email receipts, when you say you will email receipts? How difficult is it to follow up when you say you are going to follow up (when they screw up your glasses and your glasses are delayed

I have been in glasses or contacts since I was 11 years old. I have been to a lot of eye doctors and many times it just feels like they just want to get you in and out. With Dr . Lew it didn't feel like that at all. The exam I had was far and away the best I have ever had.
Dr. Lew took the time to explain everything to me. She helped me understand which contacts and glasses would be best for me and ways to improve my eye health.
I also had a complicated question about a rare genetic eye disorder my mother in law has and what I need to do for my wife and children.
I can't say enough great
