My husband, 2 children and myself rented a home from Lauren Meadows in Port Charlotte. We rented for 1 year and were never late on rent. We also had to clean the property prior to moving in because they couldn't get a cleaning company there prior to the 1st. We also were asked to switch the water and electric bill to our name a few days early as well, as the owner requested we do so. We agreed to everything because we loved the location and the home so much. A few months after we moved in, the AC stopped working on a Sunday. I opened

I’ve been living at one of their units going on a year. Everything was fine, paid rent on time, no issues. Until a week ago when my a/c went out. Called emergency line and didn’t get a call back for 3 hours because the owner was out to dinner. So, I call the next day to see if we can fix it. The prop mgr/owner begins to lecture me about Florida law, and that they don’t have to provide a/c. Except it’s on my lease, a binding contract. So then she tries to blame me for the damage before anyone has even come out

We have used Lauren and her staff for the past five years to help us rent and manage our condo on the Island of Venice. They must have deleted my post because they were getting bad reviews. I had about 5 paragraph review on how much this place (Lauren) is a master manipulator and narcissistic human I have ever worked with. I wish I could give “0” stars because it is what they deserve. DON”T rent from them. You will regret it, trust me. A lot of these “5 star” ratings are fake.

Failed in their fiduciary duty to the client. Allowed damage to my home that was rented out. When hurricane hit last year good old Lauren packed up for SC didn't bother making sure the hurricane shutters up and property prepared for storm, did not inspect afterwards and lost claim on roof. Bought $700 refrigerator instead of repairing old one, did not contact me first then billed me for tip to delivery person. It's been three months and have yet to get correspondence and files requested. She makes slim landlords look good
