Established in 2010 to provide family centered veterinary medicine, we have a professional, compassionate and knowledgeable staff that treats your pets the way we treat our own, like family.
We are small animal veterinarians serving the Ada, Cascade, Forest Hills and Grand Rapids areas. We live and work here and have been serving the West Michigan area for the past 20 years. Our practice cares for dogs and cats as well as pocket pets - our term for your small furry friends such as rabbits, ferrets, hamsters and guinea pigs.

We will do our best to make sure you are brought into an examination room as soon as we have one available. Our goal is to make sure all of our patients are seen on time, but there will be times the occasional unexpected delay due to an emergency or because we are providing care for a patient that needs a little more time.
At Bridges Animal Hospital, we are staffed by 2 small animal veterinarians with a support staff of veterinary technicians that can assist with dermatology, radiology, ultrasonography and internal medicine. We are commited to provide high quality, compassionate and progressive service. We help clients with behavioral and educational services for canines, felinines, and other small animals as well as from vaccines to spay and neuter services.

Dr. Marshall is the best veterinarian we’ve ever seen. She is an astute clinician who’s attention to detail, thoroughness, and constant communication are evident. She brings a fresh perspective to tricky animal health problems that other offices just can’t get handled. She helped our 11 y/o black lab correct long term diarrhea, vomiting, urine/fecal incontinence with associated weight loss with one visit. We were also able to get him off of all of his medications. We’ve seen 2 other veterinary offices in the Grand Rapids area and they were unable to help us for the past year. I highly recommend

My animals and I have been going to Bridges for over a decade and I wouldn't take my furry kids anywhere else! Everyone on staff is kind and caring, and Dr. Denise Witthoft is amazing! Patient, personable, knowledgeable and compassionate--everything you could want in a vet. I give them five stars plus!

Drs Whitoff and Marshall are wonderful, caring professionals. They are very practical, helpful, and kind. My family has experienced numerous pet illnesses in the past few years and every time the staff at Bridges helped us understand what was happening and what our options were, while keeping our budget in mind. We have referred numerous friends their way and all of them have been enthusiastically satisfied. I know my pets are in great hands with these two.
