Mercy Vintage
Let's get one thing clear! At Mercy Vintage, we love clothes and we love style, but we do not subscribe to one particular look and we do not follow what is fashionable. We cannot choose one decade, one designer or one anything because we like to mix it all together and we believe this is what creates great style.

I've never felt apart of a community the way I do here at Mercy. Being surrounded by fun vintage, getting to work with some of the best people and having the opportunity to help style and connect with some of the sweetest people that shop with us. I'm so thankful to everyone who connects with us! I'm honestly just a scatter brained thrifter whose interests are incredibly fickle, which may be due to my Sagittarius sun.
Services
Now accepting Spring and Summer! We buy Monday - Friday, no appointment necessary. You may drop your items off Saturday and Sunday, but they will not be processed until Monday. We are first come first served and we appreciate your patience. If you would like your items processed on the spot, email us to schedule an appointment.
Vintage clothing is pre-worn. As a result, some pieces may show signs of wear. Mercy Vintage carefully inspects each item and discloses any signs of wear in our descriptions; however, due to the frequency of our listings, occasionally some small damage may be missed. Please be aware of this when buying from our vintage collection.
To launch our Fall 2020 collection we asked Audrey Ardale for photography and art direction. We love what she does and knew she would take our concept to the next level. Our inspiration came from a couple of 1980s Gianni Versace catalogues in addition to this amazing Escada catalogue from 1984. The inspiration felt very now and spoke to the collection we had been putting together.

This is a good store for trade if you have designer vintage clothes, jewelry and accessories and want to freshen your wardrobe. Their prices are higher, but the clothes are in good condition and interesting, which is why I enjoy shopping here. They have lots of fun and unique vintage clothes, jewelry, purses, and shoes. They tend to have more special occasion clothes lately, I wish they carried more everyday vintage dead stock.

Mercy Vintage is next door to the theater on Piedmont, in Oakland. This is not a thrift store, it is a high-end vintage consignment shop. They also sell their clothing, jewelry, handbags, and shoes online. If you know someone that is in inventory coordinator and sales support—they are looking to hire someone. They have some items for men – – it is primarily for women. If you love vintage, and you haven’t been here, you gotta check it out. Vintage*****
I love their ambience! They have intertwined beautiful plants throughout their shop with an interesting arrangement of clothing and accessories

Love this place!!! Always an interesting new selection. I am a sometimes vintage shopper and an always consignment shopper. I have scored some amazing vintage pieces here and more often find some high end designer gorgeousness from Issey Miyake, Rick Owens, or less well known current designers. I do also sell and/or consign and find the staff friendly and knowledgeable- great vibe for shopping!!!

Bad experience. No customer service, I went in for 10
Minutes and was not acknowledged once-there was one other person in the shop. I said thank you and they didn’t even say goodbye. I feel bad for posh vintage stores such as this one that don’t have an adequately original idea and upscale a curation worse than the goodwill bins. I will never be going back and would not recommend anyone visit. Good luck making it as a small business when you can’t even exercise basic human decency.

This place is so cool.Everythings hand picked and in great condition. besides the unique items I love their amazing flower arangements. They use wild flowers instead of a florists.Theyve got gucci wallpaper in the dressing room and beautiful dresses ,shoes, jewlry etc. They are known for vintage designer clothing but its affordable. They have some mens clothing ,the type you'd want your guy to wear.
They buy from the public. They pay well for designer vintage and unique items that are in good condition.Just bring in whatever you want they'll do the rest from there.Check out their instagram its got

They wrote me bad checks!

Over the past few days I sold some clothes to them. They gave me a check every time I sold them clothes. I now have 3 bad checks. Two of them already bounced for insufficient funds. Last check was deposited yesterday through mobile and I am just waiting for it to bounce too! The amounts of the checks are nominal - in the $20 - 60 range. How can a store write bad checks for these nominal amounts? I think they may be writing checks from accounts that are not operational. FRAUD!

I bought a beautiful red blouse from Mercy Vintage at A Current Affair a few months ago in San Francisco. It's sheer, button up, and looks fantastic on. It was incredibly reasonably priced as well. However, upon looking at my credit card statement the following week, I was horrified to see a huge charge from the weekend. I immediately panicked. In typical me fashion, I of course had not asked for an email or paper receipt upon paying with my credit card. I began to feverishly message them on all forms of social media in order to dispute the charge. I was ready to go to battle, terrified they

I've bought wonderful pieces here, but multiple times have gotten home with them and days later notice holes or stains or imperfections. You really must look the piece over when you're there and be OK with stains, holes, pulled threads, etc. If you can accept it, you can find some amazing articles of clothing.

In terms of selling, I once tried selling them a dress, they didn't take it, then I had the surreal experience of finding it on their rack for $250 a few weeks later. I guess my roommate brought it in. It was purchased for maybe $20. I guess it depends on the buyer but the

Mercy Vintage is a nicely curated clothing boutique. Offerings range from the 1920s to quality, contemporary pieces by the likes of YSL and Yohji Yamamoto. They have a decent shoe selection - more on the contemporary side - and some jewelry. I noticed a few decent Southwestern 1st Nations pieces in the case.
Light & well organized - Mercy is definitely worth a look for inspiration at the least.

Vintage and antique shopping on Piedmont is one of my great Bay Area pleasures.

This little street has a lot to offer and actually a wealth of stores that specialize in bringing new joy through old wares and wearables.

Mercy Vintage is a highly curated collection of women's fashion items. It's a very particular type of trend they offer here but if I had to best describe it I'd say that Mercy Vintage most likely resembles the closet of Carol Burnett's character, Miss Hannigan, in the movie Annie. Please note that I mean that in the very best way possible.

The pieces you

Truly, one of the nicest, cleanest, well-organized, high-quality vintage shops I've ever stepped foot in. You can tell tons of TLC has gone into the entire look and feel of this store. And the service levels and price points are impeccable. Such incredibly nice co-owners and they're so interested in what they do. You can tell. Thanks, guys! Susan from SF

Took a gander yesterday at what was on offer at Mercy Vintage, five years after my previous visit.

I almost ended up walking out empty handed before I saw a sleeve sticking out from a rack of clothing that caught my eye. It belonged to an absolutely gorgeous vintage haori jacket that fit like a glove. The muted colors and subtle pattern lead me to believe it was probably a man's jacket in its former life.

An older woman stopped me in the store when she saw it in my hands and said that it was cool. I was already getting compliments and I hadn't even paid for it yet.

It's a truly

I am not a Vintage person, per se, so I have nothing to compare it to. But sometimes I yearn for styles from the past, so I popped in as a result of a Yelp push when I was in the nabe. They did have a few rather interesting items, although not for me. The shop was smaller than I expected from the photos, but very neat and well organized. Staff were friendly but not intrusive.

Still, I found the selection to be a lot more 'thrift store' than I had expected, with even just a hint of that type of odor. I was also surprised to find that some of the items that interested me most were not

I'm not often in the market for vintage, but this place is the antithesis of every musty, dusty and mothball-ravaged vintage store I've ever been to. My best friend needed to sell some vintage duds and suggested stopping at Mercy to see if they might be interested. While the super sweet sales associate looked at my friends finds, I roamed the small shop and fell in love. The clothes, accessories and other merchandise are displayed perfectly and the lack of cluttered racks bespeaks a slightly minimalist approach that allows custies to shop without feeling overwhelmed by the bulk. It took some digging but I finally found a few really special 1950's dresses that were in great condition. I sifted through several cute dresses that had some pretty significant damage and that, unfortunately wasn't reflected in the pricing.
However I found two gorgeous dresses at totally amazing price points, the woman working was really sweet and helpful and even gave me 10% off for buying both dresses. I would say that it's definitely worth a visit, but inspect each item carefully before purchasing.

I had time before my Kaiser appointment yesterday so I thought I would give it a go.

The two gals sitting on the floor were too busy to say hello but whatever. I go look at the outer wear on the left of me and what do I see. Yep, two mink coats and a mink stole. Are they freaking serious? I wanted to vom on the floor.

This place will never see a penny of mine. Never!

I live a couple blocks from Mercy vintage so I stop in regularly. They have a great selection of dresses, men's shirts, coats, shoes and scarves. Cowboy boots are available if you get lucky. The store is small and very cute, and the ladies behind the counter are great at being chatty but not pushy. Often they'll put a discount rack out front and you can get some wild pieces for cheap. I'd recommend you stop by this place the next time you're waiting for your movie to start on Piedmont Ave.
