Started by two sisters team Tenzin and Namgyal based in Berkeley, CA, Yaza women's wear combines the visual interest of bohemian chic with curated, hand-printed natural fibers. The line is inspired by the sisters diaspora childhood growing up in Nepal and India being around their mother's boutique and their father's cottage industry that made traditional Tibetan rugs.
Founded on the principles of integrity, The sisters work closely with skilled artisan families in India and Thailand with a focus on fair labor and ethics. They strive to make clothes that feel as good ethically as they look aesthetically. Yaza collection features flattering silhouettes made from Earth-friendly fibers that are machine washable or handwash-as effortless to maintain as they are to wear.

The russian? Woman working this store is incredibly rude!! She was on her phone with her friend the entire time I was there and when I asked her a question she seemed very annoyed that I even asked and THEN PROCEEDED TO MOCK ME on her phone call to her friend. I really hate leaving a bad review for a small business but this woman was SO UNPROFESSIONAL AND RUDE. I hope the owner sees this and reconsiders her staff.

After bringing countless friends here to shop, while I looked on-pleased to watch other people spend their $$$, I went there for myself yesterday and bought some gorgeous clothes. Love the store, the fabrics, the design & sensibility, the JEWELRY- it's all amazing. The prices are quite reasonable, considering they're hand-designed and unique-made from gorgeous fabrics. The sizing also works for me (quite tall) & friends (small, petite) I'm in love...with a LOCAL store, no less. But hey- worth a trip from anywhere you are in the Bay & great lunch spots & coffee &

I have purchased countless items at this store ..things aren't cheap and I've spent thousands of dollars here and it's worth it. There clothing and jewelry are high-quality and I love the owner. However, we visited today with my disabled daughter and the employee- the only one who's not the owner who works there- discriminated against my daughter harshly and my daughter was doing nothing but trying to draw a picture in her notebook of a bracelet being sold there. She wasn't touching anything or bothering anyone. The sales lady told her to get away from the jewelry and

I don't care how cute the clothes are if dealing with the owner is a nightmare. Don't be fooled by a pleasant first meeting. If anything goes wrong, she becomes angry and uncommunicative. For months I've been trying to get resolution on a small issue, but getting any kind of response from her is like screaming into the abyss. It's exhausting. It's unprofessional. Shopping here is not worth the possible aggravation. Be warned.

I was just here today Christmas shopping. This is a lovely boutique with all women-made goods - beautiful clothing and jewelry especially! Namgyal was so sweet and helped me pick out a gorgeous necklace for a Christmas gift. I will definitely be back. What's really special about the clothing is that it's made in a sustainable workshop near Kathmandu owned by the shop's owner and her parter. Very unique!

This boutique is chock full of gorgeous clothes, jewelry and accessories--modern and classic at the same time. And the pricing is very reasonable. It's so hard not to buy everything! Most of all, the people are very friendly and generally wonderful. I had a small issue with an item that I purchased, and they took care of it immediately. Great customer service is impossible to beat. Yaza is a great addition to the neighborhood, and I can't wait to go back!

My wife and I discovered Yaza over the weekend and their clothing and accessories are beautifully designed and crafted. The fact that they're sourcing fabrics and producing most articles in their home country is an amazing story in itself. Check them out and don't hesitate to introduce yourself to the co-founder Namgyal!
