Stroll through our halls, sit in our dining room or listen to a conversation in one of our activity rooms and you'll notice something reassuring. Whether its the gentle stroking of a woman's hand or a Doctor helping a man knot his tie for a visit from his family, our staff understands that our residents have led full and productive lives and deserve to be treated with respect and dignity.
Depending on your loved one's individualized needs and abilities, Amboy Nursing and Rehabilitation Center offers from 30 minutes to three hours of combined, daily physical and occupational therapy to patients, five days a week. Medicare insurance generally covers patients who need sub-acute/after-hospital care. Medicare requires a hospital stay of at least three nights, within 30 days of admission to our center, to qualify for coverage. Medicare covers the first 20 days of the stay in full and can cover up to 100 days, with days 21 to 100 covered at 80 percent.

The place is not bad at all. It’s a Nursing Home smells good when you come in but as you walk toward them hallways it does smell BUT that’s something they could definitely fix. Offices have there doors open and staff seem to be pretty good with the residents . The Activity Director is WONDERFUL according to my aunt and is the best they’ve had according to my aunt 😂. She also said that the lady from social services is a gem, always passes by and checks up on her. Thank you!

Flooding inside the building. Fire hazard 3 ft of water in the first floor. Everything is so old, dated and over used. Understaffed and lack of medical attention or certified. I think there is actually 1 RN. There are nice people, but not many. My Dad had bed sores, fell from his wheelchair with long befote he received medical attention. Recently suffered an aspiration pneumonia which left him in the hospital for 2 weeks. Somethings are just life, but if there is a lack of care. Im not the only one to complain

This place has improved from last year. I saw plenty of new friendly faces. The assistant director of nursing , what a pleasant lady! met her on the elevator on my way up to visit my aunt, she was conversating with a resident you would’ve thought that they were family. My aunt said that she’s very hands on with the residents especially when there’s an emergency.

This place is not as bad as people say. I went to visit my neighbor a couple times and I must say staff are very involved. The morning shifts like Social Service, Admission, the physical Therapy staff and the activity aides seem to be very nice people according to the residents. What they need to do is get rid of the cna’s Who look like they are ready to go to bed which is SAD because that will mess up The entire facility, 2nd and 3rd shifts don’t do ANYTHING!!!! The owner Needs to pay them a visit at that time. No1 cleans No1 is around it’s a ghost town !!!!!Other than that it’s a good

Must say they have improved from staff being ( Kind and very concern, Spanish speaking) Smell has improved. Pretty clean most of the times. Although it could be better if they had more staff. Seems like they are short in staff especially weekends! If they paid more I’m pretty sure this place would be up there. Ladies from Admissions and Social Services are the best! Thank you for your time ladies!

Staff are compliant, all depending on who you go to. You can’t expect random people to know the answer to a question just because they work there. I have a relative there and had some questions and I asked a lady from social services that was passing by she answered and what she wasn’t sure about she referred me to the person. She was very friendly and made sure I had no other concerns. She mentioned to me if I was happy with the facility if I could give it a thumbs up 👍!! Lolo . Her sister works in Admissions she was also very friendly and helpful, also the lady from the business department

This place has definitely changed. With several new staff I have seen while visiting my uncle. From a new admin Mr. Klein who seem very involved with the residents and families “that’s a 1st”! Also they have 2 new social workers “who Speak Spanish “ Finally!!! The Lady's name is Marilyn she actually came outside and sat for a while and was interacting with the residents, “that’s a 1st” AND the residents seemed to like her a lot 😃! My uncle said that it’s alot better with these new people on board. I hope this new team are here to stay.

Amboy Care Center is an independently owned and operated entity that is licensed to provide skilled health care related services. While working at this facility, I was made sure to evaluate my job loyalty to the senior management leading to the owner himself. I was devalued as a certified social worker and was never part of the incident reporting to the health department. In fact, I was never informed of any reportable incidents to the department of health. The allegations ran wild during my employment. Finally, I was asked to immediately accept an unknown transfer to another facility or be escorted
