I am Marlene Burk. I am nationally certified, and a licensed acupuncturist through the Pennsylvania medical board. My office is located in Haverford, PA. What is Dry Needling? Dry Needling is acupuncture performed on muscles to reduce tension and pain. In Pennsylvania, acupuncturists and MDs with proper training can perform dry needling. Physical therapists and chiropractors in Pennsylvania cannot perform dry needling unless they are also an acupuncturist (having a title of LAc). Do you have questions?

Acupuncture is an ancient method used to attain and maintain good health and well-being. Tiny needles, sterile and solid, are inserted at specific points selected to treat your particular issues. When your body is out of balance, it cannot function normally. This results in dysfunction or pain. Acupuncture helps the body heal itself.

Whatever discomfort or ailment you may have during pregnancy, chances are acupuncture can help. From the day you find out you're expecting, to the last gasp of active labor and recuperating in the "fourth trimester, " think of acupuncture for safe, drug-free relief. If you want treatments throughout your pregnancy, you could plan to get acupuncture on the same schedule as your doctor or midwife visits.
Pain can take over your life. Maybe it's disturbing your sleep. Maybe you can't think of anything else. Or maybe you're taking pills just to take the edge off. And you're still in pain. Acupuncture can help with all types of pain: skin, muscle, skeletal, and organ. Generally speaking, four weekly visits will help us assess if treatments have been or will be helpful.

I have been seeing Marlene for over a year and a half, she has helped me through so much! Acupuncture is more than just about the physical body, and many people are dubious about it, but fear not! I am a huge needle phobe, but let me allay your fears about that, the relaxation and healing that comes with acupuncture is not to be missed! Marlene has helped me with my physical ailments, my emotional pains, and even spiritual growth. She customizes each appointment to your needs using a wide breadth of knowledge, from traditional Chinese medicine, to Western approaches, to metaphysical knowledge.
