At Robin's Nest we provide loving care for infants through school-age children in a custom-built facility on two acres. We are unique and have combined the best of family day care and preschool. Situated on two acres of land, our bright 2,220 square foot facility was designed and built to take advantage of the outdoors and the many benefits of a mixed-age child care setting.

Stay up-to-date on all things Robin's Nest as well as get ideas and tips for your little ones. An example of this month's theme is Winter Wonderland. In this icy adventure, your children will pretend to sled with penguins, run with snow leopards and build an igloo. They will help rescue a baby polar bear from an iceberg and imagine skiing down a mountain.
Services
For thirty years, parents have watched their children grow from infants to Kindergarten-ready at Robin's Nest. We believe in a balance of learning and play, and our educational goal is to instill a lifetime love of learning. Our approach will prepare your child for Kindergarten without compromising his or her need to explore to explore the world.
To reduce the amount of unhealthy saturated fat in their diets, we serve only low-fat or nonfat milk to children age 2 and older. We plan menus to include a variety of healthy foods including whole grain bread and cereals, fresh fruits and vegetables, and protein from both animal and vegetable sources, e.g., beans and nuts, using organic ingredients when possible.
Robin Rice founded Robin's Nest Child Care in 1983 as a small family child care home in Bethesda, Maryland, to meet the needs of her own growing family. It was Robin's dream to build a child care facility farther out in Montgomery County. That dream was realized in 1990 when Robin's Nest moved to its present location on two acres of land in picturesque North Potomac across from Travilah Elementary School.
Now in our second generation Robin's Nest Started in Bethesda, MD and grew to North Potomac over 30 years ago. Robin's Daughter, Renee, along with her husband Ben and three daughter are proud to continue this family business. Robin's Nest has enjoyed excellent staff retention over history. We are simply thrilled to introduce ourselves and welcome you to our family!

My granddaughter went here and was happy and made friends. She looked forward to going in the morning and meeting her teachers. The staff were caring and did a good job giving extra attention to the kids when they needed it, and they kept us well-informed on daily details as well as the curriculum. The grounds are set back off the road with an easy drive and plenty of space for drop off and pick up, and the playground has lots of toys and open fields to play in.

We have two children at Robin’s Nest. They both started at 4 months and to date, we’ve experienced the infant, toddler and pre-school room. We’ve been pleased with the quality of care, engagement of the teachers and the education. Our girls have thrived and are excited to walk into school everyday. The teachers send a lot of photos throughout the day, and it is wonderful to see the children of all ages having fun and enjoying their day. We’ve felt very safe during COVID and are grateful for the consistency and stability Robin’s Nest provided for our family during this time.

Positive: Professionalism, Quality, Reliability, Responsiveness, Value
We started taking our toddler to RN in late summer. Renee and team have taken all precautions with the CDC guidelines to ensure the safety of our child during the pandemic. The care and education is great, lots of photos and communication throughout the day. We are so happy with the service and so is our child.

My son was cared for at Robin's Nest from 4 months old to 15 months old. I truly felt like he was cared for everyday and felt a wave of happiness everyday when he smiled reaching out for his teachers at drop off and not wanting to leave at pick up :) Renee and her staff are accommodating, friendly, caring, responsive and professional. Having to navigate through the world of Covid during our time there, I felt safe sending my son back when they were able to reopen as the appropriate procedures were strictly followed. Would highly recommend Robin's Nest, we hope to be back in the future!

We absolutely love Robin's Nest. Renee, the owner is amazing. The house was built with the daycare in mind so it's a great setup. The backyard is perfect with lots of room for the kids to play and a lot of shade. The staff is really hands on and I always knew what was going on with our daughter both from speaking with the staff when I picked her up, to getting updates through the app and lots of pictures on Facebook. It really made me feel comfortable knowing what was going on all day because being away from your kiddos is hard and Robin's Nest made it a lot easier.

I am an Employee of Robins Nest and have worked here in some capacity on and off for more than 15 years. I consider Robin and her family my family.
I am head Preschool teacher, infant certified, and Director qualified. I take my job and the well being of the children here very seriously. They are always safe and well supervised.
The children are provided with age appropriate activities to help stimulate and educate. They have plenty of space and toys inside and outside in the play yard. They are feed home made meals and snacks everyday.
This I believe is a great place to bring children of any

We have been clients of Robin’s Nest for over 2 and ½ years. Both out daughter and son have been at Robin’s Nest since they were 3 months old. They are now 2 and a half and 7 months respectively. Over this period, we have always been very happy with the care and attentiveness that Robin and her staff have provided to our children. Our daughter looks forward to going to Robin’s and to see her friends. She enjoys playing outside in Robin’s large backyard.
Our infant son is always well taken care of and we are confident that he is safe there.
We chose Robin’s Nest because of the family

I have two sons who are now 13 and 4. Both were at Robin's Nest from infants to Kindergarten. Robin, Renee, and staff are always friendly and so good with the kids. I wasn't thrilled with the super structured day care environment, but I also didn't want my boys in someone's home. Robin's Nest is the best of both worlds. The basement of the home was designed specifically for childcare. My sons loved table time when they made crafts! The playground is really great and Robin's staff always made sure the kids had outside time when the weather allowed. I love all of the creative projects that come home

When we originally looked at Robin's Nest for our 3 month old daughter I was hesitant. I had always intended to get a nanny but was convinced that an outside daycare may be more appropriate for our child. Upon meeting Robin and Renee I was immediately at ease. Their commitment and love for the children at the facility were more than apparent. My daughter has been with Robin since she was three months old and she is now three years old!
The daycare resides on the lower level of Robin's house. I really liked this as I felt like Robin was bringing the children into her home and family. Further, her
