Our program for infants sets its pace around the needs and unique differences of each child. Routines are the curriculum for an infant's day. Every moment of a young child's day offers opportunities for learning. The infant teacher catches these moments and helps each baby establish trust, discover and feel good about herself, tackle a motor task, realize the power of language, and begin to understand this strange new world from many angles.
When an infant has mastered rolling over, pushing up onto hands and knees, and crawling, they will soon begin walking. During the transition from infancy to toddlerhood, your infant will be moved to the Beginner classroom where they are provided with a safe environment to explore. The timing of this move will be based on the infant's own development and the caregiver's observations, not on the infant's age.
In providing a program for toddlers and twos, our teachers understand that these children learn with their whole bodies. They learn more by doing than by being told. Toddlers discover their world on a physical level, so it is expected that they will prefer walking, climbing, carrying objects, or dropping objects to sitting, picking up toys, or playing only in designated space.
Preschoolers are most responsive to "hands-on" activities. Our teachers accept that and design their classroom spaces with "learning stations" at which children can choose the activities they most enjoy. Our high-quality staff rotates and adds materials frequently to maintain and extend the child's interest.

Both of our children started attending LCELC when they were both 6 months old. LCELC was the best thing to happen to both of them. The deeply care for all the children that attend. They went out of their way to help accommodate us as one of our kids was delayed developmentally, no request was too large. The staff was loving and caring to each of my kids, spoiling us. We recently had to move and now can not find a Daycare that is even 1/4 as good as LCELC. We miss everyone there.
