California law states that biological parents of a child have a financial obligation to support their child until the child has reached the age of 18 and has graduated high school. The financial obligation could continue if the child has turned 19 and is still in high school and is not self-supporting.

Like her referral partner and another graduate of a school at risk of losing its Bar accreditation, it seems this law firm will unethically file Ex-Parte filings in the middle of mediation discussions and days before Christmas as they close their eyes to full agreement details as provide clients guidance that may severely impact the well being of children involved. I believe that Mary knows her stuff and is a very smart lady, but I had a terrible experience with this office. What should have been a very simple case turned into many months. Every time I thought everything was complete I'd get another notice "we forgot to have you sign this"...or "this other form has to be filled out" and then several more weeks would go by. Even spelling my name wrong on a form meant another lengthy delay to get it corrected. I wasn't notified my divorce was final until a month later--by that time it was too late for my ex to apply for medical
