We are a full service funeral home and Nevada's only Concierge Cremation Service. We are family owned and operated and have decades of experience serving families in Southern Nevada. Our aim is to present an alternative to the increasingly cold, corporate atmosphere that has permeated the funeral industry in the form of "Mega Funeral Homes" who treat you like a number or a "case" rather than as people who have experienced loss.
Includes: basic services of Funeral Director and Staff, removal of remains from place of passing (within 30 miles), refrigeration, arrangement conference at McDermott's or by phone with the necessary documents being sent via email to the Legal Next-of-Kin/Representative for electronic signatures and initials, plus the temporary plastic container, processing of necessary permit, alternative container, cremation process, .

Thank you mcdermott funerals for takeing care of my husband. And helping me have my time with him before his services start. I appercaite it all. Its heart breaking to sum people to have a family members passing. but thank you for being nice thur the hole experiencs. God bless you guys.

One call, and i could tell just how nasty and unpleasant that receptionist must be in real life i feel extremely sorry for her family.
I have been in contact with them for weeks due to the passing of my grandfather and they have taken their sweet time to send me the documents.
Please fire the receptionist or at least suspend her without pay until she learns how to speak to folks who have lost someone.
I pray to god that she is punished one way or another.

In a most heartbreaking time, Megan and Chris of McDermott Funeral & Cremation Services made things as easy and gentle as possible. Through MANY phone calls from me, they were patient and kind. Amidst the stillbirth of my full term nephew, they showed us amazing compassion and care.
I was able to arrange everything via phone, from 2100+ miles away, and they never made a single bit of it harder than it already was. Kudos on their "heartbroken sobs to English" translation system, because I never had to repeat myself before I got it together, either.

I am not sure what anybody is complaining about. I called multiple cremation services and each of them had a long list of "extra fees", which made a seemingly good price jump hundreds of dollars. Megan was very helpful and other than extra copies of the death certificates, beyond the first one, everything was included in the price quote. Chris and Fred were also kind and helpful. They are family owned and operated, incredibly informative, and very professional. I highly recommend this business and their services.

Do not use this company. Very unprofessional and uncaring. (1) I ordered a portion of my brother’s remains to be sent to me. I paid $150 to have them mailed to me and when I opened the envelope they were in a clear plastic baggie. As someone who had not dealt with cremation before, I was shocked and heartbroken to be face to face like that with the remains. (2)We ordered 10 death certificates to handle my brother’s estate. We received some but the remaining were “lost in the mail”. They resent them. We are now 2 months post death only to find out the certificates have the wrong SSN. We

Chris was amazing and compassionate in regard to my sister. They were extremely efficient because I came from out of town and they transported her and allowed me to see her right away. I wish every funeral/crematory business was as fantastic as Mcdermott's...we need more of that in the world. Thank you for all your kindness and caring...it really makes a difference when we are dealing with loss.

After my dad passing I found and used McDermotts due to the pricing. My initial call was pleasant with Chris but all interactions with others in the office were less than what should have been done. The girl that answers the phone is the most non compassionate person I have ever had to deal with. Every time I called or went in to the office she had an attitude as if I were an inconvenience. I went in to pick up my dads ashes and she sat at her desk with such irritation. I stood there waiting for 5 minutes waiting for her to finish her temper tantrum to let her know why I was there. It is disheartening

Sadly, my mother passed away in October. I had to look for a reasonably priced cremation and funeral service, and I found this family business. The owner and his brother Fred were very helpful and were very nice people. They got back to my messages fairly quick and were attentive. I really liked that Fred came to my house so I could sign all the documents; that was really convenient and showed that they care about the comfort of families. The only thing I would suggest improvement on is being more organized. When I ordered the death certificates, I ordered 10, but when they arrived, I only received

Very pleased with the level of care and patience I received from Chris and he took his time with my concerns and questions when picking a casket he was also honest. I appreciate him working with my family to get my grandmother buried. He worked with me to get her body shipped out which took much longer than I expected because of money problems you see and most places don’t do that and there was no charge for holding the remains. If I could rate 10 stars I would. Thank you for everything McDermott family
