Services
W e are happy to be part of the community of Boulder City. Since purchasing the business from the Ray Family in July of 2010 we have had the opportunity to meet many wonderful people in the area. Boulder City is a great place and we are glad to call it home. We are excited to raise our children (Dodger, Sweden, and Ripkin) in such a close knit community.
When it comes to your final arrangements, shouldn't you make the decisions? The arrangements you make will reflect your exact wishes and desires. Pre-arranging your own service will help to ease the burden of your loved ones. It will also alleviate any questions, problems or differences, which can occur among family members.
The basic Military Funeral Honors (MFH) ceremony consists of the folding and presentation of the United States flag to the veterans' family and the playing of Taps. The ceremony is performed by a funeral honors detail consisting of at least two members of the Armed Forces. The Funeral Honors rendered to you or your veteran will be determined by the status of the veteran.
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) furnishes upon request, at no charge to the applicant, a Government headstone or marker for the unmarked grave of any deceased eligible veteran in any cemetery around the world, regardless of their date of death. When the grave is already marked, applicants will have the option to apply for either a traditional headstone or marker, or a new device (available spring 2009).
A United States flag is provided, at no cost, to drape the casket or accompany the urn of a deceased veteran who served honorably in the U. S. Armed Forces. It is furnished to honor the memory of a veteran's military service to his or her country. Generally, the flag is given to the next-of-kin, as a keepsake, after its use during the funeral service.

I have used Boulder City Family Mortuary twice in recent years. You will not get any better service anywhere. Tyson is compassionate and treats you like family. He will go out of his way to help you with all the details that need to be handled to provide your family member a memorable service. His fee is very fair and reasonable. Thanks again Tyson for all you did to assist us with Debi's service. We appreciate you.

Losing my husband was a terribly difficult time and working with Boulder City Family Mortuary made everything easier and peaceful. Everything was done with love and kindness and everyone I worked with treated me as if I was family. Not only was the cremation part done in a beautiful way I was also assisted through the paperwork business part of things with the after care program. What was an overwhelming situation became easeful and bearable because of their kindness. I am grateful for the love shown to my husband, me and our children.

My mother recently passed away and my family decided to use this mortuary. Not only was funeral director courteous, kind, and made the experience as easy as possible, but he didn’t upsell to us. Unfortunately this was not my first time planning a funeral for a loved one, so I have seen funeral directors in the past try to sell my family unnecessary things. I had the complete opposite experience at this mortuary. He helped us save money where we could, even telling us to go to hobby lobby to buy a flag case instead of buying it from him because it would be cheaper. At the graveside he was there

I have had the miss fortune of having to go through the funeral process twice now. GO HERE! Talk to Tyson Smith, he will treat you like a person who lost a loved one, unlike Palm. Tyson is compassionate, and not pushy. You have heard the horror stories of price gouging during your time of loss. You won't get that here. Tyson is honest and will not give you the song and dance of “you need the best for your…..” BCFM Did and amazing job with my mom who was also a Veteran. Tyson I want to thank you for the wonderful planning that you did for my mother (Tina) you have a gift that not everyone

I went there just a few minutes before closing, with a referral from Boulder City Florist that afternoon. Caitlin Gonzalez made my painful experience of making the arrangements for my mother so much easier. She took the time to explain all the details and cost breakdowns. Never hurried me and never gave me any sales pitches. Tyson Smith, the owner and who also owns the Star Mortuary and Crematory, WAS EXEMPLARY to the say the least. He was very understanding, caring, went completely out of his way to accommodate our family. We had relatives from out of town and also out of the country who were

My experience with Boulder City Family Mortuary was of the most easiest I have ever gone through. Tyson Smith was the nicest and most helpful man when I was looking for a Mortuary to take care of my Dad when he passed away in Las Vegas. Tyson took care of the most important processes and even the burial. He found a Veteran Cemetery in Boulder City and took care of all the arrangements for me. I could not have done this without the care and support of this man. I so HIGHLY recommend BOULDER CITY FAMILY MORTUARY if you're looking for someone to take care of your loved one. You will not regret you

I am in the process of having my husbands remains sent to me, as I have moved out of state. Working with Tyson Smith has made this most difficult experience bearable. Not only did he guide me through the process, his fee was in line with what was being done. After dealing with another company, who would have charged me double for the same services, I am truly grateful I sought other avenues. When the time is needed for funeral arrangements etc. Boulder City Family Mortuary should be on the top of everyone's list. Thank you Tyson Smith.
