I've been a customer for years. This is a great family business with lots to look at, and I love coming here to treasure hunt. Every single time I walk in, the owner's son recognizes me, remembers what I like, goes to the back and then comes out with a variety of items for me to look at...without my having to say anything else after the initial "hello." He just knows (fyi, I love Tiffany & Co. and David Yurman). They never hover over me while I shop, never pressure me, and they are super helpful and friendly. This place, however, is not just about finding and buying, it's about paying you the fairest price possible for your own treasures -- silver coins you have stuffed in a bag, diamonds that have lost their gleam in your eye and arrh maties, those gold doubloons in that attic. Best value for my coins and jewelry. The jewelry store I went to offered me 15% less and did not want to take any gold jewlery less than 14K. The other coin shop in the area offered more than the jeweler, but less than this place. Kinda funky place too. Like the've been there forever. Nice, and told me they purchase old postcards and letters. Very nice to deal with.
