We are renown for our expert jewelry, watch and clock repair services, and also offer custom design services to create new jewelry from old, outdated pieces or something completely new that you've dreamed up. Our story begins with our grandfather, Peter, who worked as a second-generation watchmaker in his father's jewelry store in Austria-Hungary, which became part of Yugoslavia after WWI.
We are a full-service jeweler, providing expert repair and other services for fine jewelry, costume jewelry, watches and clocks. Creating custom jewelry has never been more affordable with some creativity and the assistance of Computer-Aided Design (CAD). The most common custom designs are for rings and pendants, however earrings, bracelets or even brooches are possible.
From classic jewelry styles, like diamond stud earrings and diamonds-by-the-yard necklaces, to current trends like #NeckMess layered necklaces and stacking rings, much of our fine jewelry collection is available in 14K and 18K yellow, white or rose gold, platinum, and sterling or tarnish-resistant continuum silver.
Northshore-based jeweler and metalsmith Roumen Shoilekov founded Bespoke Jewelry Studio to showcase his unique handcrafted designs. He finds inspiration through the masterpieces of ancient civilizations, and his fine jewelry is a result of a thoughtful creative process. Using diamonds, gemstones, and mixed metals such as fine silver, gold, and platinum; his jewelry is elegant and eye-catching.
Born and raised in Brooklyn, Freida Rothman is a second-generation jeweler, a mother of four, and an entrepreneur striving to remind every woman of her inner strength. Many times Virag has fixed jewelry for me but recently they have used skills and imagination to make earrings out of pieces that i have brought in. Both pairs of earrings that i had for many years did not work for me and needed reshaping to be something that i would wear and for modest sums, they resculpted the earrings to design new earrings using the body of the old ones. Truly impressive insight.
About three years ago I took in a century old ft high grandfather clock that had not worked for 40 years and with kindness and skill, they have it so it sits on our mantle and keeps perfect time.

I have been taking my watch and other jewelry here for repair for many years and have always been happy with the skill and quickness of the folks who work here. Recently I brought my high school aged son here to purchase a gift. The staff treated him like a regular person and helped him find something that met both his budget and his specifications. We could not have been more pleased with the selection and the service. They were very patient and willing to answer any questions. I will be buying some jewelry for my daughter for her birthday soon, and I will definitely be coming to shop at this

Terrible experience with this place. The first time I came in about a month ago with a vintage 60's gold watch needing a few minor things repaired. Virag gave me a quote of $315 to fix the issues. I said that was way more than I expected and took the watch elsewhere for a second opinion. That other place was Franko's Jewelry repair in Downtown at he expertly fixed the watch for $75. Quite a difference.
Since Virag is local to me I thought to give them another chance. This time bringing in a very rare and valuable HEUER dive watch to have a simple job of the seconds hand replaced. Long

Recently I brought in an ID bracelet I’ve had since a teen. The clasp was a bit loose and I explained my granddaughter was interested in wearing the bracelet, but it was no longer secure. The gentlemen behind the counter took it to the back, returned 5 minutes later with a securely closing bracelet and did not charge me for the service. It was touching to see that level of service still offered especially during such hard times.

I was extremely satisfied with my experience purchasing a ring from this jeweler. My salesperson Adam was helpful, knowledgeable, insightful,and a pleasure to work with. They didnt have the item I wanted in stock but they were able to order it.
I was bowled over when I was phoned the next day, and informed it was in stock and available. Howard made the pick up and purchase a breeze and was most pleasant.
Overall I highly recommend this store.

I went to the holiday trunk show last year and bought two necklaces that I love. I get lots of compliments and there were many other pieces I had my eye on. Great place for Christmas gifts. On another note, I had to have a ring cut off my finger and I live in Chicago so I went downtown first. Bad move. Should have taken Uber up to see Pete at Virag. He has this cool little gismo that looks like a medieval torture device that cuts a ring off painlessly and protects your finger. Then he put it back together and made it bigger for me! AWESOME!!!!

Excellent selection of watches, pearls, rings, etc. highly recommend to anyone in the area looking for jewelry.
Better than cottage but a bit more pricey. However the greater selection makes up for it. Definitely check it out!

I've been here twice, once for a simple repair to a necklace, and most recently to resize a ring. Both experiences have been wonderful, and I paid a very reasonable price for the high quality work that was done. I appreciate their competitive prices and expertise. This store is family owned (dates back to 1936) and exceptionally professional. I came in to get a watch battery changed and the chronograph reset and Peter (one of the owners) was not only quick (took 5 minutes), but also incredibly professional and meticulously skillful! He told me that the chronograph reset itself at 5 instead of 12- which is something that commercial stores that change watch batteries would miss.
I also asked a million questions about gemstones and settings (Virag also sells and repairs jewelry) and he was patient and answered

I recently received a beautiful sterling silver chain with my name on a nameplate. The chain is very delicate, and as my luck would have it, it caught on something and broke! And not even the clasp; but in the middle of the chain itself. I immediately brought it to Virag, knowing they would fix it.
I just picked it up, and you can't tell where the break was! Very happy!! (I will be more careful.) ;-)

I have been a Virag customer for more than 40 years and I simply won't go elsewhere. They are expert jewelers who do beautiful work at reasonable prices - what more could you possibly want? I read the one negative review here and thought, really?? You had the movement changed on your Tag for $75 and you're complaining - please!

I love coming to this place for my watch services! They're great at figuring out what's wrong and providing me with honest and reasonable prices and times to fix it. change in batteries is a straight up $10 and they can change it in 10 minutes - exactly what I want and need.
I've also brought some jewelry in to fix before and they've been great at giving me prices for it. i had a costume jewelry fixed before and they did a very nice job. I've also brought in finer jewelry, a gold 18k ring that has a super thin band that I broke. They helped me patch it up though the material
