Acupuncture is a relatively non-invasive therapy that has existed for over 3,500 years. It originated in China and its popularity has been growing in Europe and the United States since the 1970's. A unique benefit that Stokes Acupuncture provides is a combination of Acupuncture treatments coupled with optional Traditional Chinese Medicines in the form of Chinese herbs.
This level of patient-specific treatment is not only beneficial to the overall health of the individual, it is hard to find this level of service in the area. It is the goal of Stokes Acupuncture to aide and also inspire individuals to be the healthiest and happiest that they can be through the use of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Qi (pronounced Chee) can be thought of as an energy or "life force". Since the total absence of Qi is death, one's health depends on a balanced distribution of Qi throughout the body. Disease and pain occur when there is an abundance or a deficiency of Qi in one or more areas of the body. With acupuncture, Qi is given the opportunity to flow easily and more harmoniously.

Have been going about every three months mainly for general health but just had a session recently where I said to Christine I have hemroid issues and am sure that’s not what she can help. Well wow! Within a day the issue got better. Not totally gone but I am so surprised in the reduction! Christine is so friendly and makes you feel very comfortable.

Heather has been a god-send! I initially came in for my lower back, but she has also helped significantly reduce my migraines. Yay me! I was getting them every other day, but now I might get them once a week depending on the weather or stress. She has eleviated severe pain from tendinitis in my right fore arm and is boosting my energy level because of my extremely stressful life. Heather is so personable and genuinely cares. I think I would still be on the couch in pain if I hadn't started going to see Heather!

Heather is great. My daughter had unexplained pain with no medical findings. We were sent to Heather. My daughter being only 15 was very nervous. Heather was very understanding to her fear and explained the process and said if totally uncomfortable there was another way. She gave it a try. Her pain has been gone for 3 months and she is going now for something else. Thank you Heather for the professionalism and the kind spirit.
