Traditional Chinese Medicine is an ancient set of practices from China that are based on the belief that the processes of the human body are interrelated and connected to the environment. TCM practitioners approach healthcare from a holistic standpoint, looking for the underlying imbalances and disharmonies behind an illness.
Practitioners treat the patient as a whole, instead of just treating a disease. Patients are encouraged to schedule their treatments at least two to three weeks in advance for optimal availability. Acupuncturist Julie Grogan is dedicated to serving your health and wellness needs. What is Qi (Pronounced "Chee" \ch\)? In ancient times, the Chinese believed Qi was the fundamental entity comprising the world, and thus everything was connected. The Chinese character for "Qi" is the same as the word for air, life breath or gas. The Chinese people believed everything resulted from the movement and change of Qi.

I first came to see Julie when I was 19 weeks pregnant and with a horrible Carpal Tunnel diagnosis. My doctors wanted me to have surgery immediately in fear I would loose movement. Julie explained there were points she had to avoid because I was pregnant but that there were alternate ones she could use to treat me. She was very knowledgble and considerate of every aspect as I kept getting closer to the end. I had a long labor, almost 4 days in pain, and also came to see Julie then who got me in "an emergency" last minute for a long session. Julie helped me immensely all these months, not only with

Julie is very knowledgeable and focused on the areas of pain you are experiencing. She understands the many ways the body is connected and, in addition to her skill with the needles, she recommends helpful practices outside of acupuncture that help to heal your body. I would definitely recommend her to anyone considering acupuncture.

Went to Julie for back pain from siting at a computer all day. She was kind, listened, understood that acupuncture was new to me, so she took the time to make sure I was comfortable. Not only is my back feeling great, but she worked on my plantar fasciitis that I have been living with for 10+ years and it is better that I could have imagined. I wore sandals all summer!
