I realize that the process of choosing a therapist can be a daunting one. This website will tell you about who I am, my background, and my approach, as well as some other information that I hope will make your process a bit easier. I work with adults dealing with a variety of challenges. In practice for over 15 years, I have enjoyed helping people find ways to feel and function better.

Joan Fiorello earned her doctorate in clinical psychology from Columbia University and published her doctoral dissertation based on her research and interest in attachment theory as it relates to self esteem, resilience, and parent-child relationships.
In addition to her own private practice in northern New Jersey, Dr. Fiorello has had years of experience working in both hospital and community mental health center settings providing treatment for anxiety, depression, addiction, relationship issues, and a variety of other challenges in living.She works with adults of all genders, sexual orientation, race, national and ethnic origin, religious and spiritual affiliation.
