Services
Rhodes Pump has been serving residents and businesses in the Guilford, Connecticut area since 1978. Our family owned and operated company takes pride in helping Connecticut clients find the answers to all their well and city water needs. We are the top trusted provider of water well service in the Guilford, CT area.
Millions of U.S. residents get their drinking water from a well. While this is a great source of water for your home or business, the water produced from wells can be plagued with dangerous contaminants and harsh minerals. Water filtration methods can deliver the water purification process you need to ensure your water is clean and safe when it comes to your faucets.
Water filtration services help clients remove any impurities present in their water source. Large particles are easy to filter from your water. But, your water sometimes contains smaller impurities that can be difficult to remove. Some impurities even have no obvious signs of presence in your water until you undergo water testing.
While the focus of our business is to bring water conditioning and water treatment services to residential and commercial customers throughout the Guilford, CT area, at Rhodes Pump, we handle all types of water well service. If you are a new home owner, constructing a new business, or looking to replace your water well, the best option is to hire a professional.
I have been meaning to write since Sunday Sept 23, 2018, when we had an "emergency service call". To make a long story short, my wife was handling our well pump issue as I was playing in a golf tournament. She called your office that morning, a repair person arrived quickly (cannot recall his name) and he found the issues fairly quickly.

We had our well pump replaced recently. The workers were very unprofessional and wanted to charge us an extra hour of labor for digging to access the well even though they were aware of that before. They also failed to share information about waiting to use the water due to the chlorination. We spoke to the owner to share our concerns with the workers and the owner’s response was, “Well, you have water, right?” He did not care to hear any feedback about his employees. Very unproductive conversation. I would NOT recommend this company. I’m sure there are others out there that would treat

It began with a question as to why our grinder pump alarm was going off...they helped us over the phone (having never dealt with us as prior clients before) and answered our questions to put us at ease. Ultimately we needed someone to come out and they came out NEXT day! Jodi was so patient in explaining to us the workings of our pump etc. we needed to replace our pump. We were so nervous as to how long it would take for a new pump to come in and be installed. He got our system to run to at least get us working toilets and quick showers. New pump and install happened NEXT day. Not only was he knowledgeable

I have well water at my house and lost water pressure. I called three different companies and Rhodes Pump Service was not just the only one that returned my call, they were out at my house in a half an hour. They fixed the problem at a reasonable price and cleaned up nicely after the work was done. I would highly recommend this company.

We had pipes leading to the house blocked with iron deposits. Apparently quite unusual. It was determined by other service co. who's technician/son of the owner quit due to "health" problem in the start of the repair. Rhodes arrived and took charge. We had new line(s) installed and a new pump. That was in May of 2002. Yes, 18 years ago. The pump is apparently still pumping just the same syndrome of iron deposits is limiting the water supply. It's time to switch to a spare line and probably also get a new pump. I am calling Rhodes Pump Service, Inc. tomorrow

A few years back I had a problem with a grey water pump my septic system. I called several people and because it was difficult to access no one wanted to do the job. They looked at it and didn't get back to me. I called Rhodes they came out the same day and installed the pump that afternoon.

Today our well stopped pumping water. We called another local to Orange company that we have dealt with before and after 4 hours and 4 calls of no response we called Rhodes. Shawn answered and told us he could be at our house shortly, but wasn’t sure if he could fix our problem sight unseen. He was on site in no time, was professional and courteous. He tested our system and learned that the control panel (installed less than a year ago) was faulty and installed a new unit he had on his truck. Within an hour we were up and running with water again! Great service. Great price - we will be looking

This review is for the service I had from Rhodes Pump Services 4 years ago. The reason I am writing now is because they sold me bad/low quality pump but with high price. It was wire problem but he marketed it in such way for me to believe that the pump should be replaced too. Which was still fine, that is not what I am really complaining now. what it is - the pump he sold me is low quality(this comment was from another professional who provided service last week) and died last week.
I called them last week and was told they would come, however they never came or gave a me call for any reason.

We had an appointment for a well and water system check up today. The guy came, took a water sample, went down in the basement for a second and came back without changing the filter or doing anything on the system. He handed me an invoice for the water sample and also for the well system check up - which he never touched. He left and told us he will call to give us the results of the water sample. After asking him if he will change the filter or check the system, he told us, no or he has to charge us additional $120.00
This is clearly a rip-off as we never paid more than 90.00 bucks in the past

Rhodes is a great company!! They came out pretty much at the drop of a hat to help with our pumping station. We were spending our time at the hospital because our son was premature. They made the process easy and worry free. I really appreciate it! Hopefully don’t have to use them anytime soon but if I do I would not hesitate a second to call!!!

Excellent service which is rare in today's world.
One year ago I purchased a home with a well. I had Rhodes inspect the filtration system, test the water and educate me about wells (as I previously lived in Los Angeles and New York). They did not charge me. Marketing, perhaps.
One year later, I used them to test the water and go over filtration system again (so I could refresh my memory).
Great customer service, reasonable price and I felt they went above/beyond.

I spent $1500 more than I intended to yesterday. Seems our water pump died. For those of you that don't know, these things only happen on Saturdays when you're in the middle of doing the laundry you've been putting off for two weeks.

Anyway - I called these guys on Saturday morning and 30 minutes later they were at my house sticking things into my well. 2 hours later I have a new pump and running water. I love it when things you don't even know you have break.

Aside from it being way more money than I would ever imagine - kudos to this guy for showing up quickly
