Had a fabulous 2-weeknight stay at this hotel. Clean, modern traditional style, quiet. We used the complementary bikes to ride the trace and saw the local sights within walking distance. Would definitely stay again for a quiet getaway. Be sure to stop at the Mystery House Museum which is owned and run by the same man who owns the hotel.

This place is beautiful and very well maintained. They have parking at the back of the property for guests only which was very helpful during the Abita Springs Fall Fest. I especially liked that they sent you the door code and you just let yourself in and out with no contact with anyone the entire stay.

Beautiful hotel! We stayed two nights and it was every bit as charming as the photos on the web. The beds were extremely comfortable. The grounds around the hotel were charming. Most of the attractions were within walking distance. The St Tammany Trace trail was practically a step out of the front door. We enjoyed every bit of our stay!

We had a blast. We were in the Parlor Suite- the room and hotel were absolutely gorgeous and spacious, with a great view of 'downtown' Abita from the large bay window out front. It's the perfect spot to walk to virtually all of the restaurants and attractions in town. Parking's a breeze, either in the back in the reserved parking or on the street out front, adjacent to the Tammany Trace. Note that the street is one way. I failed to the first night when I parked and was embarrassed the following day when I was the only one parked incorrectly.. If you're looking for

Tucked away in the small town of Abita Springs, I did not even know it was there. The hotel is beautiful! Old plantation charm in every room. Beds were so soft! Everything was spotless. Easy check in and check out. Sit on the rocking chairs on the front porch while having your coffee. Can't wait to go back.

I would highly recommend the Abita Springs Hotel. I rented out all of the rooms for a large birthday celebration, and all of the guests raved about it. The hotel is located along the Tammany Trace for walks and bike rides (bikes are provided!) and near quaint bars and restaurants. The rooms are comfortable, stylish, and spotless. The outdoor space at the hotel is fantastic for group hangouts.

The absolute best get away!!! So relaxing, so beautiful! Our room was perfectly clean yet cozy. The garden is so magical and tropical and we loved reading and snacking by the spring-fed fountain pool. Honestly, the perfect place to stay for Tammany Trace bike trail and other sweet and charming experiences in the area. A lot of businesses were closed due to COVID-19, which was a bummer but we are so so excited to come back..... do yourselves a favor and stay here! We're already scheming of all the ways to bring our friends and family out to Abita Springs for this charming experience.

This place is amazing! We traveled with our two kids. Abita Springs Hotel has everything: good-sized fridge, microwave, not skimpy with coffee for the coffee maker, very comfortable beds, plus a lot of amenities....all within walking distance. Sno-balls, splash pad, Artigue's market (fantastic grocery store to pick up local beer or supplies for morning breakfast), and the Abita Springs Cafe and Abita Brewpub. Don't forget the Tammany-Trace Hike and Bike Trail. Holy Cow! Will be returning in the future....if there's availability!

Very nice place to stay. It's about 30 minutes drive from New Orleans (MSY) airport.
It's called a "hotel" but it has all the charm and feel of a B & B.
The location is perfect. There's a great brewpub, Abita Springs Brewing, next door as well as a very good local diner.
The Tammany Trace Rail Trail ( a hike/ bike running trail ) runs right in front of the hotel. It's about 30 miles in length, that runs from Covington to Slidell.

The most perfect weekend getaway from New Orleans!! My boyfriend surprised me with a stay here for my birthday, and we felt pampered and welcome from the very start. They even offered to bring up champagne to celebrate.
Ask for the twin oaks suite - it has gorgeous views, a huge bathtub, and its own little parlor. Couldn't have been lovelier :) Will definitely be coming back

Perfect Gem of a Hotel in Abita Springs!
I am from Abita Springs and live out of the state currently. I have been trying all the hotels in the area over the past years when I come home to visit, but have never found the experience I was longing for until now at the Abita Springs Hotel. I recently took a quick trip to New Orleans and decided to spend one night in Abita and wished I had stayed at the hotel for a week instead. The location is perfect for anyone wishing for a nice quiet retreat that takes advantage of all the charm of the town of Abita Springs. The hotel design is exceptional, clean

The Abita Springs Hotel is a perfect blend of old and new. Beautiful old home has been renovated and features amazing high ceilings and big windows. The bed was very clean and comfortable and the claw foot tub helped me relax even more. The outdoor area features a spring fed pool and beautiful tropical plants! This place is perfect for a relaxing, weekend getaway close to New Orleans. The owners are friendly, professional and helpful. I will be back soon!

Easy to book online, they emailed the entry code and lock instructions prior to check in. Parking on the street in front, or behind the house. Quiet climate control and Andersen windows really quieted the street noise. Comfortable bed and pillow. Nice porch with ceiling fans. If you like tropical plants, the yard is full, along with the spring and garden pool. I did see hummingbirds at different blooms. The location is just blocks from church and restaurants.

In a time where most travel starts and ends with chain hotels/motels, the Abita Springs Hotel is a breath of fresh air. A locally owned and operated hotel with a hometown feel that includes all the amenities you could ask for. We got the pleasure of staying in the Kings Parlor and absolutely loved it! From the gorgeous bathroom to the old time radio on the nightstand. This room had everything we could have asked for and more! The location of the hotel is amazing as well. The small town of Abita Springs had a lot to offer! A few notable things being the Abita Beer company, the Abita Mystery House

Abita is a very small town but this hotel is in a perfect location where all my needs were within walking distance. There's a grocery store, restaurants (Mama Ds was great!), and entertainment (Abita Mystery House). The outer appearance of the hotel is a cute old house and the inside is a newly renovated contrast, however it still holds a retro vibe. We stayed in the Kings Parlor. The room was huge and had lots of natural lighting which was a nice change from chain hotels. The prices were very reasonable especially considering what you get for the price. Beautiful outside and inside! Highly

We (husband and I) had some business to tend to in New Orleans and were only in town for a few days. We're originally from Louisiana but we live in San Francisco now. So we wanted to be close to the city but still pretend like we were on vacation, which is why we chose to stay at the Abita Springs Hotel, just across Lake Pontchartrain, about 30 minutes from New Orleans.
It was perfect! We booked online and received an email before our stay with a keycode for our room so that we could check in whenever we wanted. The staff isn't on site 24 hours a day but they made sure we had their

Just opened in March 2018 after a year long rehab of a fine old residence. We found it because of proximity to the Tammany Trace, a fantastic rail-to-trail outside the front door! Checked in, hopped on bikes & got in a 36 mile ride before returning to this location in quaint "downtown" Abita Springs. A few great restaurants & brew pub within a few blocks. Hotel owners are great. Rooms beautiful! Perfect place to anchor a cycling trip!
