We are very pleased to welcome you and your child to First Presbyterian Preschool! We are looking forward to working with you and your child, sharing wonderful experiences together and positively impacting your child's life. Our program has been carefully planned to enhance the learning and growing of each individual child in a pleasant and creative way.
Your child will be an important part of a loving, Christian atmosphere which will guide their learning experiences as they discover more about themselves and the world around them. First Presbyterian Preschool is a "Letter of Compliance" Preschool through the Maryland State Department of Education/Office of Child Care.

Services
First Presbyterian Preschool is an educational outreach of First Presbyterian Church. We believe that each child is a unique creation of a loving God. Our primary objective is to offer children the freedom to grow, to learn, and to develop spiritually, socially, emotionally, intellectually, and physically in ways which will enable them to grow into more mature person.
This class meets Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for 2.5 hours. For the 2021-2022 school year we are opening an afternoon class that meets from 12-2:30. This class has 2 teachers and 15 students. The tuition for the 2021-2022 School year is $210 per month. The tuition for the 2022-2023 School year will be $215 per month.
Our Kindergarten Readiness class is another option for 4 year old students. This class is offered five days a week from 9:30am-2:30pm. Emphasis on these readiness skills will increase your child's ability to enjoy learning, gain knowledge, experience preschool success, and enjoy continued success in kindergarten.
Since these things are so important to us, we are finding ways to include them in our curriculum while following MSDE, MDH and CDC guidance for the health and safety of our students and staff. For the 2021-22 school year, visitors will be limited. Outdoor field trips will be held, parent readers will read outside and class parties will be limited to students and teachers.
While we remain flexible to the needs of each and every child, we do follow a schedule of routines each day as follows. Our daily routine is also designed to include many children led as well as teacher directed activities. Our teachers will build in transitions which are built around large group, small group and independent activities.
