The pelvic floor is a complicated area of the body that can be affected by many conditions or related factors (shown below). The affects may cause muscles and connective tissue to weaken or become injured. Organ dysfunction such as Interstitial Cystitis or Prostatitis, and hormonal changes can also affect pelvic floor muscle function.
Having a child experience difficulty with bowel/bladder control can be an emotional situation for both the parent and child. It is often difficult to understand the dysfunction as a parent and frustrating not knowing how to help. Children are often left feeling shame and embarrassed, sometimes leading to behavioral changes.
Pregnancy is a great time of change for the body and those changes occur rapidly! Posture changes occur during pregnancy that can lead to back, muscle, and joint pain. Hormonal changes cause ligament loosening and increased mobility in the joints that prepare mothers to give birth but, sometimes the extra mobility can create joint problems.

Julie is amazing at what she does. After a few years of suffering after a car accident Julia helped get to the root cause of the problem and gently built a recovery that was holistic and incredibly healing. Julia is very professional and experienced. Her knowledge is beyond any physical therapy I had previously. I had such positive results. Julie literally improved my life. Thank you, Julie for all of your help.

Julie has been amazing. I only wish I would have gone to her sooner. She is so professional, calming and thorough. She does not just treat symptoms but she gets to the root of any issue and works with you to resolve it. She is passionate about your physical and mental wellbeing as both play a part of a persons health and affect each other. I love having her as an advocate and someone I can always count on.

Julie is hands down the best. Her knowledge of the body and what affects what is unparalleled. I often joke that it's all connected and how much better it would be if it weren't, but inevitably she ties the random problem in my hip or knee or back to the issues I have in my pelvic floor, working in both directions (because it IS all connected) to ensure that we aren't just fixing something in one place so it can go out in another. She's a life saver. And whenever I go back to my doctor's office, everyone there says Oh, you see Julie? Isn't she the best? Yes, yes she is.

I met Julie at a point where I was depressed and discouraged by post surgery lymphedema. With her knowledge of the condition and how to treat it, I saw progress I had not dreamed possible. Her caring, encouraging approach gave me the confidence that I could maintain control of the swelling and have a normal life after all. I am deeply grateful!

Julie is simply the best. She is so knowledgeable and professional. She helped me find a way back to a safe and sane running practice after years of struggle. The doctor's I have spoken with also recommend her without hesitation. I think men, women, new mom's and everyone should have a check-up with her and know about the priceless services she provides.

Thanks to Julie, I see the light at the end of the tunnel! Because of Covid, I was over-delayed in seeing a PT for pelvic floor and hip issues, and I am so glad I discovered her practice. She leads with a warm, supportive energy, is thorough in understanding the problem, and works holistically to address the symptoms and underlying issues. She makes a point of talking you through the work, and puts you at ease. I'm on my way to full fitness thanks to Julie!
