Disease is a spine condition that occurs when parts of the back - including muscles, vertebrae, ligaments, and intervertebral discs - deteriorate due to years of tension and stress. As a person ages, wear and tear causes natural changes in the spine, particularly in the discs. What is a disc? A disc has a tough outer layer covering a soft gel-filled pad that acts as a shock absorber and cushion between the vertebral bones.

Dr. Brisson is a talented and skillful surgeon. I even joked with him and said, “ he should practice cosmetic surgery” because the way he finessed my husband’s scar was perfect. You CANNOT tell he’s had neck surgery. I’ve read the reviews about his bedside manner and honestly, are you looking for a new best friend or a skillful surgeon?

Called twice and waited 20 minutes each time (designated wait time was 2 minutes) only to have them hang up on me before I could speak to a representative for an appointment. THE WORST RECEPTION SERVICE THAT ANY SO CALLED BEST SURGEON HAS EVER HAD!!!!!! I suggest that this is indicative of the type of service that you can expect from such an incompetent operation. By all means try calling them or send them a patient info form. You'll get the same service.

Dr. Brisson is extremely professional: he takes time to listen and time to explain. A first class professional experience. Completely satisfied with Dr. Brisson and his skilled staff. He is a professional surgeon, and the staff was always helpful and companionate, They ensured I had a smooth prep, surgery, and follow-up. I am so glad I chose Dr. Brisson’s practice and would highly recommend his office to anyone.

Such a great doctor with great bed side manners. Every level in my neck was herniated from a work accident, due to my age it was decided to treat my injuries conservatively and only fused one level. I’m so glad we did, I have almost full range of motion with little to no pain since getting the surgery done. If I ever have to get any more procedures done to my neck in the future, I would only use Dr Brisson. I highly recommend. I’m from eastern Long Island, well worth the commute

I've seen other orthopedic surgeons before and wanted another opinion. Dr Brisson was by far the most thorough and caring. His evaluation was for more than my injury, he took into account my lifestyle, age and personal goals. I gave him 5 stars, but I'd give him 10 stars if I could. He is highly recommended.

I have not such a good experience with Dr.Brisson. I had requested to only see the doctor because his physician assistant was very short and rude with me , but then she undermined what I requested and went to call me anyway. It was like they do your surgery and then there done with you, but then it is difficult to find another doctor because Dr. Brisson has done the surgery not long ago. I am having discomforted in neck surgery that he had performed in Oct of 2018. I have to say I have had a bad experience from the beginning in returning home to no pain medication after surgery, when his physician

Before saying that you are an extraordinary doctor, I want to tell you that you are an extraordinary human being. Thanks for showing so much care and concern. Real doctors spend time to look beyond the medical reports and understand the suffering and pain that patients are going through. Thanks for being one.

Dr Paul Brisson gave me my life back! That's it in a nutshell! When I went into his office, I had been in pain for years but it had gradually gotten so bad that it was like a dam had broken. Suddenly, I became literally bedridden with multiple symptoms and was being treated and misdiagnosed for nearly 2 years without anyone getting to what was really causing my pain. I was so fed up with doctors, treatments and pills that I had almost given up. Then I was recommended to Dr Brisson. He is meticulous with his surgical hands. He did a 3-level cervical fusion, decompression and reversal of cervical

Professional, knowledgeable, and informative. The Doctor and his staff were friendly and took the time to clearly explain the processes and objectives. I really liked the fact that they dedicated plenty of time learning and understanding my issues; were supportive of some alternative options and didn't just push pain meds and surgery! I know Dr. Brisson and his team will continue to be vital to my long-term recovery.

Dr. Brisson came very highly recommended, and I could not agree more! He was very caring, compassionate and took the time to explain to me & my husband exactly what surgery I needed and how he would do it. After my surgery he was very busy, but knew I had questions, so he came back to the hospital at 11:00pm to answer all of my questions, he also showed up the next morning, got me out of bed himself, and sat and spoke to me for some time. Dr. Brisson's office staff has also been great! Every time I call the office they are so friendly and help me with whatever I need!

What a waste of time and money!!!
I had to wait over 2 hrs in the waiting room. Then they had to take their own xrays, because my mri wasn't enough. Finally I saw dr. Brisson. He spent 10 min with me, explained what needs to be done, but when I started asking questions, he started to rush. He is not covered by my insurance, but I chose him because my physical therapist suggested him. I paid $500 for his quick consult. He couldn't say how much my surgery would cost and said to call billing, because that girl wasn't working that day.
I called every other day for 3 weeks, left messages

Do not waste your time with this doctor!!! The first appointment went fine, but for my follow-up appointment which I had booked for 6 weeks, I only met with a nurse who read the results of my MRI to me instead of the actual doctor. When I asked to see the actual doctor, she said that he only sees patients on the first visit (!!). When I said that this surprised me, she said "How else would he see 150 patients in a week?" Completely unbelievable.
