We are about more than just healthy eyes, we are about a healthy you! We use state of the art technology to evaluate the health of your eyes, and determine the best prescription for you.
Our eye care center offers a full range of eye health services to clients of all ages, from children to older adults: routine eye exams and vision tests, eye disease diagnosis and management, immediate attention for eye emergencies, and complete eye health management. Dr. Ahumada provides eyewear prescriptions and offers corrective laser eye surgery co-management as well.
Neurolenses are the world's first and only prescription lenses that add a contoured prism to bring the eyes into alignment. This state of the art technology relieves headaches, neck/shoulder pain and eye strain that many people experience because of the use of digital devices, reading, or doing detailed work.
In most cases, nearsightedness is simply a minor inconvenience and poses little or no risk to the health of the eye. But sometimes myopia can be so progressive and severe it is considered a degenerative condition. Laurie practically had me at hello when I called to ask about pricing for the neurolens exam. Dr. Ahumada was a delight, and tenacious in getting my prescription nailed down on the first part of a two-part visit. It normally doesn’t take that long, but my eyes didn’t want to cooperate, the first part of the exam ran an hour and a half, bless her!
Because I asked, I was told that it’s typically more in the 30 min range. She gave plenty of reassurance and I never felt rushed or pressured. She took the time.
It’s rare, and was greatly appreciated.

Dr. Michelle Ahumada is the best Optomotrist I have ever seen. She has gone out of her way to take care of our eyes, even coming in to the office on a weekend when my husband had an issue. Besides that, What a Spectacle has the the most attractive selection of eye ware and a great staff to help fit you. We are so happy to have Dr. Ahumada as our eye care provider.

Dr. Michelle's office is amazing! The appointment experience was seamless from start to finish. I do suffer from some chronic headaches, and often times need to rub out my eyes for relief. Dr. Michelle had me try out the Neurolens, and I was able to experience instant relief. I never realized how much my eyes were straining in order to see. There really is an overwhelming sense of relief and relaxation from years of eye strain. The prismatic lenses have been a real game changer. I have been going to this optometrist for about two years. I'm so glad I switched. This provider goes above and beyond to make sure I leave happy. I have severe myopia and the eye doctor here is able to correct my vision so that I can work close up and still be able to see to drive. My previous optometrist never got it right and then sold me contacts that i couldn't wear. I thought I was a high maintenance customer until I met Dr Ahumada.
Her office is modern with all the latest technology.
She has also helped my daughter who has migraines.
