I am Becky Heart. I am a Certified Life and Yoga Coach. I was personally trained by Martha Beck and studied Yoga Coaching through Yoga Church, the first Yoga Alliance Accredited Yoga Coach teacher training. I earned a BA in Psychology from CSU Fresno and I am a proud member of American Mensa. I am passionate about helping people ease their own suffering.
Life coaching offers many methods for this but the most powerful tool I've used is the wisdom of the body. If we are still, quiet and paying attention to the body, it gives us messages all the time. The body also always, always, always tells us the truth. Unlike the mind, whose job it is to remind us of the past, imagine the future and "scare us into survival", the body is with us 24/7 feeling (and storing) everything we do, say, and experience.

The body is a magnificently intelligent creature. It is the animal we live in. The body holds memories in its tissues and responds to different stimuli based on past experiences. You've gone through this when you see an item or hear a song that reminds you of a painful relationship. You may feel sensation in a certain area of the body and/or be suddenly angry, scared, or want to run.
A yoga coaching session begins with a discussion to determine what you want to focus on during our time together (or what is presenting itself). Yoga, dream analysis, thought work and a variety of coaching tools may be used during a yoga coaching session. The emphasis is on connecting with your body.
There is an inherent wonder and magic to the natural world. Being animals ourselves, it is not a surprise that we have a strong connection to being outdoors. Feeling dirt or sand under our feet, sun on our faces, or a spray of ocean air on our skin reminds us that we are alive. Nature confirms that we are part of something greater than ourselves.
A hike coaching session begins with a discussion to determine what you want to focus on during our time together (or what is presenting itself). Our time is spent outdoors on a trail, or on a beach walk, based on your desired level of challenge. Hike coaching sessions are more traditional "talk-based" coaching sessions with the added element of being out in nature.
Touch is the very first sense we acquire as human beings. Research has shown that without healthy affectionate touch, babies don't gain weight and are less responsive, and children lack the ability to develop adaptive social skills and can be prone to aggressive behavior. As adults, through social cues we learn that it isn't "normal" to be touchy-feely with people.
