Services
With online Arrangements, you can take your time selecting the arrangements which are best for your preferences and budget. Explore different options until you find those that are right for you. Please list any poems, religious texts, or readings you would like to be read at your services. Please list any specific foods or beverages you would like to make available to your family and guests at the services.
We offer the lowest cost in the area for funeral and cremation services, period. By keeping our overhead to approximately one-third of other establishments, we are able to offer much more, for much less. Low cost with personal service is at its best. Utilizing the most modern technology, we can save the family time and aggravation by coming to you.
Please feel free to print it off and give copies to the other members of the family if appropriate. Funeral and Cremation costs can be very confusing. Often times other funeral & cremation providers will quote what seems like a low price, but actually they do not give you the complete costs and there will be hidden add on charges after you have chosen to utilize their services.

My experience with Families First was odd; it started off okay, but deteriorated quickly.
I really appreciated the funeral director being very frank with me about the cremation process. I wanted to know the specifics of how cremation takes place, and I greatly appreciated him educating me on how the the remains are reduced into ash.
I assumed the rest of the transaction would be just as smooth and transparent, and I was disappointed when I got the impression the office staff were being dishonest. I asked to see my loved one’s ashes placed in an urn and after initial hesitation and eventual

I don’t even know where to start. CJ helped our family so much. He was patient and kind through the whole process. They went way above and beyond. I don’t even know how to put into words how appreciative my whole family is. I’ve been to some of the biggest and newest funeral homes in the region and Families First will forever be my recommendation to anyone looking for caring and loving staff during a time of grief. I’m only 40 and I’m ready to start my planning with them.

Steve and the entire staff helped me deal with my sister's death and final arrangements long distance with such care and immediate response that I will be forever grateful. I was given their name from our hospice nurse and I see now why she recommends them! Families First does CARE!

For our dad's cremation, Families First was the most reasonable option, yet we still were given the utmost of courtesy, respect, and professionalism by the fine folks working there.
We had signed documents with dad's nursing home that he would be cremated per his wishes, but there was no mention at the time who would perform the services. Fast forward three years... at 2am when the nurse asked who they should call to disposition dad's remains, I was a deer caught in the headlights.
Gratefully one of dad's nurses, a dear friend of ours, recommended Families First. I could not be more grateful

Loss is so painful and private, especially the loss of a mother, a grandmother, a sister, an auntie, a best friend, a confidant, the matriarch, our Rock. How do you honor someone like this? We were blessed to find Families First Funeral Care & Cremation Center in Garden City, a family based business that understands loss and the pain of loss. They were able to translate our grief and broken ideas into a celebration of life that our family will cherish forever. Words cannot express our appreciation of your kindness, patience and love that you so freely shared. Thank you.

Very pleased with service. Handled totally online and via phone. Answered all my questions. Ashes actually hand delivered to our home less than a week later. And they were much much less expensive for the same level of service, (Direct cremation) as all the other funeral homes in town. One funeral home in town wanted more then 3 times the amount Family First charged us. Can’t comment on anything, but direct cremation, but for that service I can not imagine anyone else providing better service and making it easy on the family.

I would give Families First Funeral Care 6 stars if I could, as well as Scott Dixon who was our main contact there. Our experience with their funeral care for my mom was exceptional and was the complete opposite of the negative experience we had with a funeral home in Savannah that we used for my dad years ago. We felt taken advantage of back then. We learned, too late for our dad, that the funeral industry is rampant with funeral homes that have hidden fees and often push grieving loved ones to choose caskets and services beyond the family's means.
Families First is different. They offer clear

We had a wonderful experience with Families First Funeral Care in Savannah, GA. That is a good name for it, "Funeral Care". CJ took such good care of us on a day that was harder than you can imagine. He was warm, caring and working up a sweat to make sure we wanted for nothing. Scott Dixon was calming, caring and helped us work a beautiful burial into our budget. Everyone there was very caring and I can't thank them enough. I kept asking if I could do things, the day of, like music, extra tables, etc., and CJ kept saying, "Yes", he finally said, "You see where I'm going with this?" He was a Yes

My two sisters, brother and I used the transport & cremation services at the Family First Funeral Cremation Center after our mother passed away in the Statesboro area. We wanted the “Best” but affordable service and their name came highly recommended. Scott and the entire staff were friendly, compassionate, kind, and professional from start to finish. They handled everything with sensitivity and ease showing great respect and care throughout. You truly made a difference during such a difficult time. For that I personally want to say Thank you!

Families First Funeral Care & Cremation Center (Savannah / Garden City location) adequately fulfilled their initial proposal. We agreed to a total cremation price of $1,040.00. This price included transporting the body from the coroner's office to the crematory and five original death certificates and the ashes were available to be picked up by the customer at the funeral home (we bought a beautiful urn on Amazon). We arranged most of this on their website. The most significant weakness that we experienced using Families First Funeral Care & Cremation Center was communication. It was a struggle
