He lived by himself across the street from McCracken Funeral Home. Tim McCracken would check on him from time to time, shovel his porch when it snowed, and deliver leftover food from receptions held at the funeral home. When he died, Tim took care of everything, pointed us in the least expensive direction, and patiently waited for insurance proceeds for payment.

Staff members of Keith Funeral and Cremation Services are caring and experienced professionals who understand that each family is unique and has personal requests and traditions. These requests and traditions are of utmost importance to our staff of licensed funeral directors. Jim grew up just outside of Altoona, Pennsylvania and first moved to Hilton Head in 1977 right out of high school and promptly fell in love with the island and the people.

I can’t say enough kind things about Keith’s funeral home, they were a true blessing! Being new to the area and having an unexpected death in our family, I was fortunate enough to have been given their contact information. We were treated with such kindness and care. Jim was extremely professional and understanding with regards to our needs. The level of support and attention to detail that was given was wonderful. Thank you so much for making this difficult time as easy as possible.
