JG Fitness & Performance was born of my passion for helping others realize the positive impact that exercise and nutrition can have on one's life. My clients range from those looking to make a lifestyle change, to athletes seeking to reach a higher level of performance. I offer training in both private and small group settings.

At one time or another since 2013, every single member of my family has worked out with Julia. While others have moved on (to Crossfit - I know, crazy.) I have fewer episodes of back and joint pain and have no problems riding my bicycle which has become my favorite thing to do. With Julia's help, I not only can keep up with all the other people I ride with, but I often LEAVE THEM IN MY DUST! Oh, and did I mention I am 68?!
I started working out with Julia the summer before my senior year in high school during the height of the college lacrosse recruiting season for my class. From the beginning Julia impressed me with her focus on good form, a strong core, flexibility, and responding to how your body feels. I came to her with most parts of my body being extremely tight and a weak core that hid behind the strength of my legs for most of my life.
As an owner of a Physical Therapy practice and strength coach myself, I can attest to the extraordinary level of attention and individuality that Julia puts into her programs. I have had the pleasure of both instructing and working along side coach Julia for a number of years now. I can truly say that she dedicates herself to her clients and focuses on their goals and challenges 100%.

My experience with Coach Julia has been excellent. She has helped me create a strong foundation for working out that I have been unknowingly searching for years. While I have always had a decent workout routine and consider myself athletic, I didn’t necessarily have the best form or versatility when it came to my workouts. I am constantly challenged, encouraged, and pushed to do my best. Coach always checks in with me and makes adjustments if necessary. These adjustments are whenever you need them, during a stretch, an exercise, post workout, and more. She is committed to helping achieve whatever

I signed up for a month of nutrition coaching, and was impressed with how much Julia tailored her guidance to my own weight loss and health goals. I came in with a lot of questions and she answered them all, giving me researched information along the way. Julia provided a new understanding of how to nourish my body, and was supportive in helping me make small, lasting changes to move closer to ideal nutrition. I feel like a new person already! The best thing is that I have new healthy habits that I know I will continue on my own.

I have been working with Julia for over two years and it has been one of the best decisions I have ever made. She is professional, supportive, and kind. Initially, my programs focused on developing more core strength. As I became more confident that I was moving in the right direction given exercises recommended for me, Julia expanded my program to build total body strength. I cannot imagine ever not working with her in the future.

Julia is simply the best! She has been my trainer for the last 6 years now. Initially, I worked with her post-surgery and for sports performance as a student athlete. She helped me recover beautifully and without her, I wouldn't be where I am today with my personal fitness. Now, I am an Army ROTC cadet and I continue to see Julia when I'm home from college because I know she will best prepare me for whatever I need to do. I came to Julia after 11 months of the pandemic and some personal upheaval had wreaked havoc on my exercise routine and overall fitness and health. Her 12-session pack (2 live workouts per week) -- tailor-made workouts to fit my specific body and fitness needs, conducted safely over Zoom -- has helped me get back on track and feel better than I have in nearly a year. Julia knows her stuff, listens and offers modifications and tweaks, and truly cares about her clients. Plus her sunny personality makes her a true pleasure to see on the other side of the screen! I can't recommend her enough.

Other people have commented on Julia’s ability to tailor work-outs to match your needs and abilities. But this has never been more evident than now during the pandemic crisis. She has continued to hold Zoom classes for us from her home, demonstrating how much you can do in your own home with simple props. Having this continuity and access to working-out has been a tremendous help in trying to deal with the new normal. She also hosted a “kitchen” yoga class for us which was great!
