Dr. Bharam is dedicated to your orthopedic well-being and wants everyone to be as active and healthy as they can be. The hip joint is a "ball and socket" joint. The "ball" is the head of the femur, or thigh bone, and the "socket" is the cup shaped acetabulum. The groin is the junction of the upper and lower body and is vital to almost everything we do.
Orthobiologics are natural substances such as cells, tissue, blood components and growth factors. There is a reason people travel from all over the world to see Dr Bharam. There is nobody better for any hip or groin related injuries. As a competitive distance runner I came to Dr Bharam for hip pain.

Words cannot fully describe how fantastic Dr. Bharam and his staff are. During jiu-jitsu class, my left hamstring completely tore from my hip (retracted 11.8cm). I was in a tremendous amount of pain and discomfort for over two weeks. An orthopedist referred me to Dr. Bharam, so I saw him two weeks after my injury. Dr. Bharam saw how severe my injury was and made time in his busy schedule to reattach my hamstring (via suture anchors) two days later. Although I was a bit worried to undergo my first serious surgery, I knew I was in good hands. I am writing this review two weeks after my surgery and

Immediately after my surgery my pain level reduced a great deal! The only pain I felt was from the actual procedure the day prior. But this was due to the help of Dr. Srino Bharam and his professional staff. I felt like I was in the safe and experienced hands of professionals that understood my condition fully; and moved swiftly to help me get pain free.
Dr. Bharam does an amazing job of explaining each step of the process. Surgery in itself is a scary thing to go through, but it helps immensely knowing you have a highly skilled surgeon performing the procedure.
Unfortunately I do not possess

I injured myself playing soccer and was told dr Bharam is the best hip specialist in New York (read: world). To my surprise, doctor agreed to see me almost instantly, no typical multi-week wait as it is usually the case with big city specialists.
From the first appointment, surgery itself and all post-op period I have encountered nothing but high level professionalism and a very precise attention to details. He doesnt just follow the regular protocol, he is actually very involved with treatment. He analyzes how you walk, doesnt rush with the exams, takes time to talk to you. Listens. What is also

Dr. Bharam is tremendous - I had a horrific sports related injury that almost nobody in the city (or the entire east coast to my knowledge) could help with. I was lucky to find a doctor who knew Dr. Bharam. He and his wonderful team very promptly got me in to their office (and he facetimed me the first day he got my referral to check in with me) and we determined a surgery was required. It would be my first, and Dr. Bharam was so great with making me feel confident in the procedure and getting me prepared for the big day. On the day of, he was comforting, prompt and (although I was out of it) he

I am so grateful to have been referred to Dr Bharam. I recently had hip surgery with Dr Bharam it took me many months to make that decision. Dr bharam was so caring, thorough, patient, and honest with me, and helped me make my decision. He took the conservative route first with physical therapy and diagnostic injections. I spoke to him on the phone, met with him in person and on zoom, as much as I needed. He was always available to help me get clarity. His nurse Taylor is such a special, nice, caring and friendly person, she shows compassion to the patients. Once I scheduled the surgery I

Dr Bharam performed a recent hip arthroscopy on me and the experience was exceptionally positive from start to finish! The scheduling of my initial consultation, pre-op imaging and the the surgery itself was extremely timely; Dr Bharam was very patient, clear and thorough with his explanation of my medical issues and the plans to correct them; his office staff (thank you, Dahae and Lauren!) were so helpful with regard to sorting out insurance and prescription issues, providing me with detailed pre- and post-op information, and addressing my myriad questions; the procedure itself went very smoothly

I am incredibly grateful that I was referred to Dr. Bharam within weeks of my injury. Time was critical in the repair of my hamstring and Dr. Bharam and his staff worked hard to fit me in the following week. Not many orthopedic surgeons are as skilled and experienced in soft tissue repair of the hip and groin area as Dr. Bharam and his associates. I am 16 days PO and on the road to recovery. If you are injured and are unsure of where to place your trust, you can feel confident that you will be in good hands with Dr. Bharam.

Doctor Bharam is an excellent doctor not only because of his knowledge and training but because he shows care for his patients. I had a couple of remote visits and a couple in person and I can’t say anything else but that I had a warm experience. He takes all the necessary steps before he releases a diagnosis and makes sure that his staff follows through with his patients.
Staff members are very efficient and go far and beyond to make sure you feel comfortable and taking care of. I will recommend this practice, and I will go if needed at any time.

Hands down the worst experience of my life seeing this doctor. Misdiagnosed my condition and performed a surgery that made my problem worse not better. The follow-up care was abysmal and I needed another surgery as a result. Still have problems years later. Highly recommend you stay far far away and find a good physical therapist instead.

I came to Dr. Bharam after a couple years of intermittent, but worsening hip pain that got bad enough for me to see him after a long while of fairly intense bootcamp and a couple months of crossfit. Dr. Bharam diagnosed me with a labral tear and recommended a conservative treatment of physical therapy prior to considering any other steps. The PT helped (and I loved Matt, the PT at H&D he sent me to), but it didn't solve the problem, and after the PT stopped, my hip got worse. I went back to Dr. Bharam who recommended surgery. I told him I wasn't comfortable with that yet, and

I saw Dr. Bharam at his new location on the UES. His staff were helpful, personable enough, and relatively knowledgeable. The space is a bit confusing, since various practices share the one space. But they were pretty efficient, saw me on time, and have a clean space.
What really stuck out is that Dr. Bharam is a quality physician and instructor. He perfectly struck the balance of attending to my examination, while communicating to his assistant in a clear way, which was purposefully intended to teach, though I never once felt ignored, or a subject.

Dr. Bharam is the gold standard when it comes to hip injuries. I went to him with hip pain (due to long distance running) that was being misdiagnosed, he ordered a contrast MRI and xrays which proved his suspicion that I had a labrum tear. He explained that the injury would require a procedure (arthoscopic surgery) and what that would involve. My husband had had the exact same injury and went through the surgery with Bharam, with great success. He is one of the top surgeons in the country, and so within a year, the hubbie was back to running a marathon faster than he had before. Even though I
