Six Degrees is a movement studio, with a focus on Pilates. Due to these new circumstances we're all facing, we are only offering private and semi-private sessions, mat classes/reformer classes *capped at four for now*. We're here to offer strength and acceptance, inclusiveness and warmth.
In our studio, you'll see people and bodies of all kinds coming together, laughing, offering compliments, working through injuries, and surprising themselves every day.We are in a new space, which is a shared space with a few other movement specialists/instructors whom teach other modalities of movement.

Services
Pilates is the core of Six Degrees. The Pilates Method is a comprehensive movement program that speaks to everyone, helping clients develop and use proper alignment and stabilization, thus giving all bodies the gift of freedom within movement. It helps each person be at home in their unique body, inhabiting its complexity and grace.
PLEASE NOTE- At this time Carrie is not taking clients, but we will move forward as it becomes more comfortable given the circumstances. This Vinyasa based yoga class emphasizes the importance of proper alignment and full breath while exploring your range of movement; allowing your yoga practice to deepen on all levels.
Asana Stretch Class is the most restorative movement in our studio. A practice meant to allow for moving meditation, assisted stretching, light massage, and centering within the body, Asana Stretch brings the benefits of yoga to each student's body through the experience and hands-on guidance of a confident, trained instructor and assistants.
Born in the Navy SEALs, the TRX bodyweight system develops strength, balance, flexibility, and core stability. Our TRX classes are structured as circuit or interval training, with 12 students taking turns between TRX moves and cardio, handweights, and other mat exercises. All levels of students are welcome, and we pay particular focus to perfecting form so as to make each session safe and effective.
Where can I park? There is street parking on Holmes, Humboldt, and Irving. Additionally, you may park behind the building, where there are 10 spots labeled "Resident Parking 3021 Holmes." Do NOT park in the spots labeled with green signs or with leasing office signs (except after 6pm); you must come into the studio to get a parking pass to hang on your mirror, but you can keep the pass and use it whenever you need.

Not a welcome environment for people new to Pilates. I booked the Saturday 10:30am all-level Pilates mat class through ClassPass and this was my first time doing Pilates. This studio seems to skew older and I was the youngest in the class by a few decades.
When I go to a new studio the instructors are typically very friendly and explain what materials you'll need for the class, but nobody assisted me at Six Degrees. The 5 or 6 other people in the class all seemed to be regulars and knew the instructor, Jaimie. She would critique my form but her tone was more harsh and condemnatory than constructive

I can’t say enough about this place! I feel so grateful to have discovered it, it really got me through the winter! Their program is so varied, there is truly something for everyone: different types of pilates (mat, reformer, tower, chair, cadillac) and many other related classes which really keep it interesting and fun (yoga, stretching, meditation, dance, barre...) Think its also nice that they offer reduced rates on weekends for teachers in training as well as some “pay you what you want” classes benefitting different charities. Every instructor is great in their own way, and always impressed

Six Degrees has a unique energy that is often missed at other gyms. They really care about their clients needs and stories. They welcome people of all shapes and sizes and they have some of the top instructors in town - not to mention state of the art Pilates equipment. Lots of natural light, good amenities and nice variety of classes. And they are on ClassPass!

This is a great space with a wonderful team that offers a variety of ways to work on the foundations of your physical health. I've enjoyed large group classes, dual sessions with my wife and some kick butt solo time with Emily. She knows my wants and needs and is able to tailor a workout that takes me to my limits.
There is no question that the time I have spent at six degrees has had a significant impact on reducing/eliminating the pain that accumulated from the years of compromised posture at work and play. I have learned concepts about how to move with better connection that will aid me in

I'm overdue in writing how great this studio is. The pilates, barre and strength have completely solved any injury issues, and though fitness-driven, it's also straight up back health protocol so I don't have to think about how to stay healthy (...and the bonus is tone and strength!) It makes running possible and long term injury prevention more creative for any other things you want to do! They care a lot and mix it up so it's a great community, colorful and fun. KUDOS to the Six Degrees crew! I'm grateful to get to come here, and that it's nearby!

I absolutely love Six Degrees. I came here from a chain fitness club Pilates background and found a level of professionalism and classically trained Pilates instructors that really challenge me and continue to make me grow in my fitness. One of my favorite parts is the flexibility with membership. There's no pressure of monthly memberships and additional fees. Everything is straight forward and either pay as you go, or save money by purchasing packages.
The class sizes are small, I've been comfortable enough to check out other class offerings including TRX and thoroughly enjoyed that as well.

Six Degrees is fabulous! The owner Emily is a fierce woman with a kind soul. I love working with her and I think her amazing attitude sets the tone for the welcoming and encouraging attitudes you will experience at the studio. I have taken classes with Becky and Ashley and they are knowledgeable, and a pleasure to learn from. This is a place that encourages students to be strong, healthy , and confident. It does not matter what your skill level or your body type is at Six Degrees, there are no pretentious attitudes here. As an injury prone individual with chronic pain, I feel so much better after

The Asana Stretch class is absolutely thee best thing you can do for yourself. Mind, and body are completely refreshed after guided meditation, and some light stretching. Words cannot even begin to describe what one session will do for stress relief. Space is limited and the lucky people in the know tend to be regulars, so sign up in advance. If you can get in, you'll quickly understand why the lucky few keep coming back every week. Yoga mats are available if you don't have one, and are just beginning to explore the different types of yoga. Fantastic introduction class for beginners.

From the second I walked into Six Degrees, I knew this is where I wanted to be.... All the instructors are well trained, well informed, and knowledgeable about the body, as well as, exercises they teach. They are wonderful about giving alternatives to some of the exercises if you have had injuries. I love that I can always find a class to take, no matter what my schedule is. I would recommend Six Degrees to anyone, new or seasoned, for helping to keep your body and mind where you would like it to be.
