Dr Stieber is the best Dr in his field, he is skilled, experienced, honest, caring and very respected Doctor, also his team is extremely professional, they were chosen very carefully.
My experience was more than amazing, before the procedure, all the life activities were stopped for more than 2 month and I was in my bed for a month doing nothing except going to the rest room, sitting or standing position for more than 2-3 mins max was a nightmare, sever continues pain day and night almost pain level 9, screaming with any little move, taking tons of very strong pain killer medications to get 20

Dr. Stieber in that once in a lifetime doctor for not only me but my family (he has operated on my mother, brother and aunt as well). He was the third doctor I met with at the age of 27 when I was told I needed major spine surgery. From the moment I sat down with him I knew he was the doctor who would operate on me. He is nothing but respectful, thorough, confident, and empathetic. For what its worth, I am myself a Registered Nurse and he surpassed my expectations and gave me my life back!

This is my spinal surgeon. He has been abundantly patient, thorough and professionally gifted in his treatment of my cervical and lumbar spine issues.
He operated on me a month ago(11/4/19) at NYU TISCH and I came out of surgery able to feel all my extremities and walk without tripping and hold things again without dropping them.
I saw many doctors and got opinions. Dr. Stieber Listened to me and helped me over a long time as I was afraid of having surgery and Dr. Stieber respected my fears, questions and concerns. As my situation wasn’t improving he worked with me and was able to show me from

Dr Steiber was recommended to me by my 94 year old grandmother who he operated on when no other Dr would and did an amazing job. She is walking because of Dr Steiber. I have had 2 back surgeries with him and I am always complimented on the job he did. The range of motion that I have after my cervical spine discectomy and fusion is amazing, most Drs are quite impressed. I am very picky with healthcare and I have never had a complaint about Dr. Stieber's practice or his polite and efficient staff.

I saw Dr. Jonathan Stieber in January for a disc herniation. At the time I was unable to turn my head to right, or lift anything. I had been experiencing these symptoms for ten months prior to my visit. His office was modern and clean, and the staff was warm and welcoming.
I was quite nervous, but Dr. Stieber took the time to listen to my concerns. He was able to assuage my fear and took the time to address all of my questions. Dr. Stieber explained all of my options in a patient and thorough manner, these included both surgical and non-surgical. I never felt like I was being rushed into surgery

I underwent a C5-6 Total Disc Replacement Surgery with Dr. Jonathan Stieber and his medical team at OrthoManhattan & NYU Langone, and I **highly** recommend entrusting this team with your care. From end-to-end, the experience has been the best it could have been. Everyone I’ve come into contact with in his office and during the surgery has been highly competent, caring, efficient, thorough, and professional. They’ve gone above and beyond to meet my needs, physical and paperwork wise. Dr. Stieber quickly won my trust and the trust of my family & friends, which is critical during these experiences

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Stieber and his incredible staff.
I spent 6 years in the military and trained in Muay Thai and Jiu Jitsu. When I turned 28 I started having horrific lower back pain. I did everything under the sun to correct it, but unfortunately I had completely blown out my disc and my only option was surgery.
I had met with three other surgeons before meeting with Dr. Stieber. His bedside manner and professionalism was head and shoulders above the other surgeons I had met with. Instead of trying to book my surgery date after the first meeting, he wanted to meet with

Dr. Stieber is an outstanding spine surgeon and a compassionate human being. He has involved me in every stage of decision making about my care, both pre- and post-op, and is one of those too-rare doctors who combines both top-shelf technical skills and superior patient care. I recommend him highly to anyone requiring top-notch spinal evaluation and/or surgery.

Two years ago, Dr. Stieber performed an artificial disc replacement (ADR) in my C5-C6, and basically gave me my life back. I had been living with increasing pain from a herniated disc that at one point was so bad I thought I'd never work again, let alone watch a movie in a theatre or sit in a plane long enough to take a real vacation. I was on disability from work a couple of times, and had gotten to the point where I thought I was just one of those people destined to take opiates and watch daytime TV for the rest of my life with bad gray roots coming in.

Was really impressed with my experience with Dr Stieber. Too often surgeons recommend surgery as an immediate fix to a problem, but he is the opposite. I became his patient due to chance when I ruptured a disk and was in extreme pain. He was the surgeon who conducted my surgery with barely any scar and immediate relief of the pain. Also, he has great bedside manner and actual personality so it's easy to speak with him openly.
A few months after surgery I had another issue in my back which had me freaking out - I thought I needed surgery again and my wedding was only 5 weeks away. Dr Stieber

I'm actually pretty shocked to read so many positive results for Dr. Stieber. Not because I found him to be a terrible doctor--I'm sure he's a brilliant orthopedic surgeon--but because I feel that, after two visits to the office, I still can't make an accurate judgement call. Between the two visits, Dr. Stieber probably spent a maximum of 35 seconds diagnosing, explaining my condition, and recommending the appropriate course of action.
After reading all of these reviews highlighting his clinical empathy and ability to make patients feel at ease, I am forced to think either

Dr. Stieber is incredible! I was in an insane amount of pain in my leg due to the largest herniated disc Dr. Steiber had ever seen. He assured me that the surgery was minimally invasive and while there were risks--as there always are with surgery--that it was not a difficult procedure for him to perform. "I do about 80 of these every year," he said. That immediately put me at ease.
I woke up from surgery pain-free and walked up the five flights of stairs to my apartment without any difficulty. People were amazed I returned to work so quickly and was walking as if I'd never had

I have never felt the need to write a followup review but in Dr. Stiebers case, I have to. He is an amazing doctor, he gives as much time as you need during appts, gives you honest clear information and in general you makes you feel as though he really does care about your well being, which I honestly believe he really does care how his patients feel. I have also had the chance to speak to other doctors in NYC (I work around a lot of Doctors) and he is highly regarded among his peers, they all say they would go to him if they needed a spine guy, that tells you a lot.

Dr.Steiber is an excellent surgeon! My husband happened to become his patent on the emergency basis. We simply lucked out! His skills, his bedside manners were extremely professional. The recovery time was minimum, the incision looked fantastic, and my husband did not even need physical therapy after all.
His office staff was absolutely on par with the doctor: professional, courteous and friendly.
It was a great fortune to have met you, Dr. Steiber. Best of luck!!!

I had been suffering from sciatica for 2 years when I went to see Dr. Stieber. Surgery was my last resort and I was very frightened about having any procedure on my back. Dr. Stieber's website with its simple instructional videos calmed

Dr. Stieber saved my back and ended my leg pain. I have had an L5-S1 disk hernia for a couple of years and it was being treated by PT for that amount of time. A few weeks ago the PT started to become less effective. Then on Sunday night all hell broke in my back. I couldn't stand, I couldn't sit, I couldn't lie down. I could only lie down face forward. I was on all sorts of drugs for the pain. dilaudid was the only one that had any impact.
I went to Dr. Stieber's office at St. Lukes Roosevelt and he had me admitted. I had an MRI within a couple of hours, and we scheduled
