General Dentistry 4 Kids (GD4K) is honored to be named best dentist 2019 and 2020 by the Arizona Daily Star Reader's Choice. We cannot thank the community of Tucson, Arizona enough for these treasured awards. Our dedicated doctors and staff remain motivated to continue this level of excellence for a long time to come.
A dental examination is an important first step in evaluating your child's oral health. The health of your child's teeth and mouth are important for their overall well-being. The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends a visit to the dentist within six months of the eruption of your child's first tooth, or by their first birthday.
At General Dentistry 4 Kids (GD4K), our award-winning dentists are committed to helping children develop good oral health habits that will last a lifetime. In addition to regular brushing and flossing at home, we recommend all of our patients receive a professional dental cleaning along with their oral examination at least every six months.
Dental sealants are thin white coatings that are applied to the chewing surfaces of back (molar) teeth. The chewing surfaces of molar teeth contain multiple pits and grooves which are difficult to clean with brushing and flossing alone. These areas can harbor plaque and bacteria, increasing the risk of developing tooth decay.

I had to switch from Great Grins to General Dentistry because they don't take the state insurance. I'm so disappointed I had to make the switch, this place is no more then a 2 star. We enjoyed the color theme and that's it. The front desk was dismissive and I don't know any of their names, the tech was okay and the doctor was awful. They poked at my kid, didn't show her the tools or walk her through what they were going to do first. They asked if I had questions and didn't take the time to truly listen to my concerns! They handed me a card to take her to an orthodontist

This place was amazing! Everyone was very nice and knowledgeable. My kids were not afraid. They explained things to them in a way that they understood. I love how they sent them home with a bag of stuff that they would need to follow the instructions they were given. I appreciate that as a parent. I had no problems at all. My friend was looking for a dentist for her children and I recommended this one. AWESOME JOB GENERAL DENTISTRY 4 KIDS! 👍😀

I'm sorry, but I am very unimpressed with the office support here. I've been trying for a month to get my kids dental records transferred to a new dentist, and they have not been sent yet. I signed a release, and have talked with 3 different people, and the records have still not been sent. I'm so glad we are leaving this office.

I wouldn't recommend this this place to even my enemies...
First of all, we were forgotten in an examination room for over 20 minutes until someone had to check the supply closet for something. She asked us to get out of her way, got what she needed, then asked into her radio why there was someone in that room.
Another 10 minutes went by before the Dr came in. The Dr was very quiet, and looked down and talked down to my husband, like he was a complete idiot. He didn't address me or even look at me or my daughter other than to look at her teeth.
This was the third interaction with this

BEWARE AND READ ALL! I have two children at this location. One of them has an enamel deficiency which has been hard even with oral care. We have seen some stellar children's dentist, especially Mr. Ed. BUT BEWARE OF DR. VYAS! She has the worst bed side manner I have ever experienced in any health care professional. She comes off rude immediately and brings an aura of nervousness. She preludes her with work instilling nervousness in the room. She disregards children in pain and blamed my son for poor oral care when he has an ENAMEL DEFICIENCY THAT IS CHARTED! Her incompetence is masked with
