If you have any standards you will not be pleased. We checked in and ended up going back to the front desk asking for a refund under the pretense that the room was not as advertised and was not clean. The room, although dated and somewhat tattered (which was not what was advertised nor pictured as such on line) appeared clean. However, the scent was certainly not pleasing and after further review, the tub was anything but clean. I didn't care to look any further. The desk clerk said that it was clean and that I had a nonrefundable reservation. I left my key card and stated that we apparently have

It's the only one left in the immediate area, so they have taken advantage of this and more than doubled their rates.
It doesn't matter how much revenue they generate, it will never be enough.
I just wish the cost/income ratio were still at least close to scaled. Right now it's WAY too high for the low quality this motel is.
I mean, they clearly neglected the pool. It doesn't take 20 minutes, 3 times a week to maintain a commercial pool, so I assume they just don't want to spend the money on chemicals. If they lose the pool they will lose the only good thing they have left.

This place should be shut down for how this place is kept. They did not change or washed the sheets or pillow, disgusting. The walls have gum stuck everywhere, some walls have red splatter and it looks like blood it is on the pictures attached. The sheets were all stained extremely disgusting. They did not want to give me any refunds or anything they only wanted to give us another room and when it was showed to me it was the same way this place honestly shouldn’t even be open, I ended up only getting 50% refund since it was past midnight which I did not argue since I wanted to just leave to another

Room was clean but outdated. You can find better furniture in the trash. 2 towels in room for 4 guests, had to get more. Homeless people everywhere. One even came into the pool in the evening, put his stuff down next to mine, when all tables were open, and took a bath in the pool. We ran as he was putting his stuff down. Didn't feel safe with my 3 children.

The office staff actually called to make sure we were coming! It is a simple no frills hotel that has been continually upgraded over the three years we have been staying there. For the price, it is clean and the location next to the bayou for strolling is awesome. There are some long term tenants that might put people off but they have never bothered us.
The same comment as last year, a simple stock picture in the room would cheer up the rooms.
