We've been going to Bedford for many, many years. Steven Bedford is the owner and he's also there to pour and tell you all about the wines. We're also members of their club - we enjoy it that much.
We were driving back from Bend, OR, where we picked up a car. We stopped by Bedford to see what new wines he had. We were greeted by Steven and his super friendly demeanor - what a great guy! He asked us if we wanted indoor or outdoor - we decided outdoor. It was a gorgeous day and we felt blessed to be in such a beautiful place. He had some grapes for his guests to try - we tried them all - Chardonnay

Do not join the wine club, shipments are promised by Stephan to be sent and are never received. We had to resort to filing a claim with our bank to recover funds for wine never shipped after multiple delays over several months. , a friend also has not received wine promised to be shipped last year and still after many phone calls she was told she is SOL and cannot get her funds returned. unethical...

If you are a fan of old world style wines, you would be hard pressed to find a better winery on the central coast. Stephen Bedford has a wealth of knowledge about all things Wine and food and his passion for both shows through!! He is currently releasing the 2012 vintage of his Field Blend, Grenache, Cabernet Sauv. As well as his Chardonnay and Chenin Blanc. You can taste the love in the wine! Make sure you say hi to his wonderful mascot Hitch, best wine dog in town.

Exquisite wines with deep character that are always eminently drinkable. Lucio, Helen, and Stephan (the winemaker) are among the friendliest staff I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. They made us feel like family on our first visit and we joined their club on the spot based on their service and the quality on Stephan's wines. This is a must visit for us every visit to the Santa Barbara wine country.
