Verona Pizza

Such a bad pizza. Ordered a pizza Saturday night. Sausage, Pepperoni and extra cheese. Waited 12 mins to order. While I was on hold I heard them taking orders and reading back credit card numbers. Finally they took my order. Hour later got my pizza. And it was terrible. The pizza wasn't even cut. Had zero sauce. The under crust was 2 inches thick and couldn't even bite through. Tossed in the trash. Waited to go in and talk to a manger on Wednesday when I was in the area. The lady took my info and said call back the next day for a manger. Called in and the manger got short and upset. Said

Lost new customers.
I will never order from Verona's again. Here's why. On 2/26/2021 at 6: 28 pm, I will telling my Co workers at a local hospital how good and fresh the pizza is; therefore, we decided to order. I called and was put on hold. I was on hold for so long, I had to hang up to take care of a patient. I called back to and the receiver of my calls hung up on me four times. I will spread the word about the poor customer service and if I could give a review of 0, I would.

Was fine last week when order pizza and time before but don't order anything else. Ordered 2 beefs ..1 with garlic and 1 w/o garlic bread BOTH dipped. You pay about $30 for two sandwiches and two sides and of course you open one beef and it's not the garlic one as it's labeled. You're about to bite into it and it's hard and crunchy. Not dipped. The other one is super soft moist Dept. Call the store and they want to argue and you have to tell them that this is not dipped over 5 times. Trying to get a manager. Going down there. Spent $30 and now nobody can eat cuz this is

My friends recommended Verona Pizza and I'm glad they did!

My work ran late one evening last week and I was unable to go home. I asked some of my local friends where they got that delicious smelling pizza that I sometimes found in their break room at work. Unanimously they replied, "Verona's!"

Flavorless. However, quick delivery, hot & fresh ingredients. Weird crust. Probably would not go back. On par for the price.

Crust had a cracker taste, slightly puffy in a bad way.... I think it was paste its prime...

Toppings nothing special - I can fully back the locals on the reviews, personally I don't think this was their work but will not come back to confirm that!!

Verona pick your game up son...!

I used to order from this pizza place it was pretty good until I found some hair in my pizza and i am not talking about a little bit, I would not recommend this pizza places to anybody and the staff there had attitudes I never went back just recently I wanted to look at the reviews and I guess it still is a bad place for pizza.

Verona is one of the top 4 pizza joints in the nwi area although as of late it's been a hit or miss not sure what the issue is. Overall great pizza

I have ordered a lot of pizza from this place how ever they really have a problem in making their pizza's the same you never know if the crust will be thick or thin, burnt or under done. When it's done right they make a great pizza. Unfortantly that been coming less commonplace.

I have noticed a decrease in the quality of pizza here. Some days its very good, some days its bad. I think they are understaffed and are looking for hiring experienced people. It is only for take out and has no space for dine-in.

I had the giant pizza from here that took around 40-45 mins to cook. My boyfriend ordered ahead of time and we reached for pick up after 30 mins. We were asked to wait a little longer and we finally got our pizza after 45 mins. There was no line or any rush. We were the only ones at the place, so I am not sure why it took them so much time.

The quality of this pizza has sunk so low over the years, I think I will be looking for a new pizza place that delivers. Years ago, Verona was so good, you could eat 4-5 pieces and feel stuffed. Now, the pizza is so thin and cheap, that I could eat half the pie and not feel full.

Too bad Beggars Pizza is too far to deliver to my house. They are truly the best pizza place in northwest Indiana.

Pizza ok but every time I call to place an order the night crew has the worst phone etiquette they make it the hardest orderly to just try an place an order poor customer service only reason I still call is cuz there's nothing else that delivers this late now let's see if it even comes and I'm not even that far from the place

The pizza is decent but I'm giving them 2 stars since they can't put crushed peppers when I ask them for it ..every single time I've ordered from this place and asked them for crushed peppers they NEVER put it with my pizza and Ive order from here a lot so it's happened more then a few times

OMG, so this is the BEST pizza ive ever had. Ive actually have to take it up tp family in Wisconsin and down south to North Carolina when I visit family. Everybody enjous the pizza and the Roast beef is sooo good. The portions are large and the price is right. Ive had many diffeent places in diffrwnt parts of the country, and I always cant wait to get home and enjoy a slice of heaven from my pizza place!

This is the pizza place you order from when you're craving pizza at midnight and everything else is closed. It's mediocre at best but not the worst pizza. I've ordered several of their appetizers. I tried the garlic bread with cheese and it was small and not very cheesy. Their fried appetizers are ones that come out of a bag so nothing special there but still pretty good. Overall this place isn't bad. It's just convenient.

This pizza is amazing! Hammond is not exactly the crown jewel of the culinary world, so it's tough to get a good pizza. I LOVE their Meat Lovers Pizza. INCREDIBLE. It's like a special treat for me and my husband to order from there.

I do have to say this though. I think they need to work on their phone etiquette. I've had a lady answer the phone one time and was super rude and treated me like I was 5, but as long as my pizza is good, I don't care how the lady that answer the phone acts. It's worth putting up with that for a great pizza.

I love Verona Pizza, but the one in Portage, IN is SO much better. The one on Calumet Ave and the one on Hohman Avenue (I don't think is there anymore)...I don't know, there is something about it.
I can't stand flies that fly around, a dirty floor and a front door that keeps opening and closing because of children running in and out..
Verona Pizza in Portage has NONE of this. I know it's a drive from Hammond, but if you want pizza the way VERONA PIZZA was intended - go to the one in Portage, IN.

Tried it out tonight.

I liked the pizza. The sauce had a hint of sweetness. I also ordered the cream cheese and cheddar poppers. Maybe its just me; however, it would have been nice if the menu included the fact that the contained a HUGE jalapeño pepper surrounding the cheese! Other than that everyone in the fam enjoyed it.

I was hooked from the first bite. The delivery was super quick and came with a free two liter...SWEET!!!! I had an XL sausage. It tasted great and It's the only place I will order pizza only from Verona Pizza. I still want to try thier other menu items but I can't imagine not having the pizza.

I will definately order pizza from here again. The delivery is not lengthy in the least bit, and the pizza is good. They are not at all pricey, so the pizzas more than worth what you end up paying for it.
