My husband has Parkinson's and was sent to Cypress Care for rehab and recovery after being hospitalized with covid. The nurses were extremely caring and attentive. The physical, occupational and speech therapists did an extraordinary job of helping him fully recover his strength and abilities. Outstanding care in the covid unit - we are so grateful.

Was on the covid unit for 2 weeks. Was prescribed pills for conditions I did not have before going there; never saw or spoke with a doctor. Most cnas were unkind and uncaring. Nurses were apparently understaffed and overworked. They would tell you what you wanted to hear and then do something else. Food was usually cold and/or overcooked (soggy). Unbalanced food groups: too many carbohydrates and refined sugar. No fresh fruit.

Called to get some info on a neighbor of mine who was sent there from the hospital. The person who answered the phone was very nice and transferred me to the nurse who was taking care of my neighbor. Talk about rude, she not only talked down to me like I was wasting her time, she just hung up on me mid sentence. And here's how much they seem to care about these reviews, if you haven't noticed, all their Responses are the same computer generated responses for every complaint.

Food is horrendous. Tasty, no way, hard, dry, chokingly bad.
Most of the seasoned nurses are compassionate, have care and empathy including some CNAs and PcT. BUT IT is a very thin line between the young ones that have attitudes and don't carry out their jobs as they should. Many don't empty the commode for 24 hours and they see it needs changing and don't bother. Only years on experienced Nurses pick up everything that needs to be done.
I have a wound that is not looked after everyday and should be to avoid an infectionI have waited for hours to days to see and speak with A Social Service worker

My father is currently a patient at this facility. We are deeply concerned about the care and lack of communication we have received from his care team. He will be discharged on Friday needing oxygen 24/7. After repeated calls and messages left we have not received any assistance in arranging oxygen for his flight home.
Update: The level of communication has increased. We have heard from multiple staff members and the lead admin.
